Defending a policy that offers nothing towards winning and only forcing a concentration on skin color rather than content of character (and ability) a is nutz.

Choosing to commit to a policy who’s founding principle is something other than competence - is willful ignorance - and can leave an organization open to criticism and devoid of the core competency of winning games.

I have met & know many Buc fans and none of them are worried about the skin color of the head coach. They are worried about why our defense continues to struggle, despite having a defensive minded “genius” as a head coach for the past 4 years. They wonder why the offense is struggling against weaker competition, and with our starters back.

Sure, there are those who have (I think wrongly) assumed it has something to do with the Bucs committing to a DEI policy. This is by far a slim portion of Buc fans - but as I have said - the Bucs opened themselves up to this criticism by adopting the policy. The few fans who blame the policy for the HC are frustrated and trying to find answers. I think It’s a lazy take.

To me, the real issue can be summed up by SR’s new nickname for Todd Bowles “Turtle Todd” because of his stubborn refusal to rely on very conservative offensive playcalling even though he has an offense built to score points - to favor his defense’s ability to close out games that has proven (more often than not) it is not up to the task. He prefers a rock fight - but he’s all out of rocks on defense. It’s maddening.

The idea that the track record of this organization has a high percentage of retaining this mediocre HC - despite 4 straight seasons of the same performance - seems to be the definition of insanity. Based on that assumption, it isn’t a great stretch to imagine that a few fans have gone a bit insane.

EXCELLENT POST

The Wokest GOAT of all time, Tom Brady, is supposed trying to get the Raiders to hire Flores.

Must be a DEI move right? Losing HC record, lost of success as a DC.  Ay least as the story goes here,  Bowles was a DEI candidate for Arians . . Arians made him DC in 2013 and, just like Flores with the Vikings the last two seasons, Bowles alos made the Cardinals defense top 10, although Flores was never AP Assistant Coach of the Year

Maybe they are both sort of DEI-light? Satisfying woke optics, but also some ability?

If Atlanta wins today it's not new Orleans fault we didn't make it. It's our fault. We had all the time we had to get this done and now we have to depend on a NFC South team to win. Puke!
