Chris Olave out for Falcons game lol
who is attacking his character?
Dirk Koetter is an elevated coordinator hired 7 days I think after the HC was fired.
was Koetter hired solely because he was white?
the only reason it wasn't sooner is because of...DEI...Bucs had to do a silly Rooney rule interview where guy didnt have a chance - Harold Goodwin
It was clear that given that Lovie wasn't adding any value from the defensive side and that Koetter was critical to Jameis development, that they made the move for that reason, black white or indifferent. It's just a shame they didn't do it again last year....
So that's a "no" lol.
we seem to be talking past one another
was Bowles hired by light and glazers for DEI? Clearly not, given time of Arians retirement he is all we had
did Bowles become head coach of Bucs because of DEI. Clearly so, if not evident by Arians life work. Absolutely clear this is the case
two close but very different arguments
even Bowles himself is against DEI. Shit look how he handled that press conference when Bucs lost to Steelers back in 2022. Very admirable of him that color doesn’t matter

Not talking past. I appreciate the openness to discuss and certainly no disrespect
I agree that you summarized the two position and you are definitely against DEI. Its the statement above where we part ways and I've explained why.

my direct reports - black woman, Indian woman, Asian woman, middle eastern man, and a couple white dudes
why do they have their positions? Because they are qualified
when I think DEI, I think that person only getting the position because of race or sex which is silly.
Steelers back in 2022. Very admirable of him that color doesn’t matter
Mike Tomlin is often described as DEI hire (Rooney Rule) even though he was not, but how can one say that when the RULE is actually named after the owner of the team? That question is equal to "Bowles DEI hire because Arians life work . . "
When ever Tomlin leaves there will be plenty of comments about DEI. Ive had the good fortunate to know a little more about Tomlin than some. He is a good head coach through and through. He also has flaws, I am sure.
Whenever Harbaugh leaves Baltimore, there will be exactly zero comments about DEI . . unless its about his replacement. Harbaugh is a good coach through and through. He also has flaws, I am sure.

tomlin HOF head coach. I don’t understand your comments
Also don’t think Rooney rule really had an impact. Already other black head coaches prior to Tomlin hired - dungy, lovie, Marvin Lewis, herm Edwards, art shell
Raheem morris with Bucs? Not sure what the hell they were thinking there 🤔

My comment was that Mike Tomlin is linked repeatedly to DEI (the Rooney Rule) even though he was not the RR candidate (Ron Rivera, i think). And there will be plenty of people denigrating him after he leaves by saying he was a DEI candidate and/or that his race playeed a part in this long tenure. "they only kept him so long because the owners dint have the 'courage' to let him go . . given the optics." on this board there is a comment that hopefully the Glazers have the "courage" to let Bowles go.
That is the way of the world
Raheem Morris was an actual Rooney Rule interview for the Falcons. Morris is a failed former HC (sub. 500) and DC . . so plenty of Bowles parallels. Falcons say they hired him because of his ability to build on what they had instead of tear it all down. His distractors claim he ewas hired because of his skin color. Again, way of the world.
For the Bucs he was . . a black in-house candidate elevated to HC. Long time agai, but I think Gruden is fired and Morris and Dom elevated the next day? Not sure, but what they were reportedly thinking was that he and Dom were able to deliver a FRANCHISE QB . . the thing Gruden did not do. Morris had been interviewed by Denver for a HC job so they also thought they were locking down a young but promising head coach. If that was going on today, the DEI claims would be out there FOR SURE . . just like they are in Atlanta.
who is attacking his character?
Hardly anyone. Hell, most people go out of their way to say he’s a good dude. Because he’s a good dude.
But you’re tangled up with one of biggest disingenuous pieces of shit to walk on God’s green earth, so these are kind of retorts you’re going to get.

This is a great point. I remember when Lovie retired so Dirk could take over a talented, winning team instead of having to take over a shitty team that fired its coach for sucking.
