You could give Koetter 5 years (and the corresponding division championships) and not a single person here is calling him a DEI hire as that last mediocre season goes south.
That is the point: illustrated perfectly above. The DEI claim is not about Bowles as much as it is about the the posters who make the claim, especially those who are making the claim because of the perceived anonymity. Wouldn't say the same thing to Bowles or about Bowles, if their family was standing near.
