1. Eagles 8-1

2. Lions 7-2

3. 49ers 6-3

4. Saints 5-5

5. Seahawks 6-3

6. Cowboys 6-3

7. Vikings 6-4

-------------------------

8. Bucs 4-5

9. Commanders 4-6

10. Falcons 4-6

11. Packers 3-6

12. Rams 3-6

Bad news is Bucs will probably get hammered this week. Good news is that they have head to head wins vs Saints and Vikings. 5-0 vs Panthers, Saints, Packers, Falcons will basically guarantee playoffs.

The division is disintegrating around the Bucs. again

The Saints lost Lattimore, Thomas and Carr to injuries.  And Jameis is still Jameis.  The only thing saving the Saints is their schedule.  Besides the Bucs they have two against the Falcons, Giants, Panthers and Lions.  Win those and they have 9 wins right there.

The Falcons lost to the Cardinals and lost Heineke, so they have to go back to Ridder who was previously benched.  Like the Saints their only glimmer of hope is the schedule.  Besides the Bucs, they play the Jets, Panthers, Colts and Saints twice.

Of course the Panthers are out of it, but because they have a new coach and QB and no first round pick they have motivation to play hard and show improvement at the end of the season.

After the 49ers, the Bucs play the Colts, Panthers twice, Falcons, Packers, Jaguars and Saints.  So you can easily find 5 wins there if the Bucs stay focused and healthy.

My prediction is that the Bucs win the division at 9-8, Falcons go 8-9, Saints 7-10, Panthers 3-14.  It's quite possible the division winner could be 8-9.    But I think the Bucs should win the four games against their crumbling division foes and beat one of the Packers/Colts.  The Bucs proved they can beat run-heavy teams when they handled the Titans, so I think they can beat the Colts as well. That's 9 wins right there.

Most likely, the only playoff team from the NFC South will be the division winner

Dallas and Seattle all but guaranteed to be wild card spots.  I suppose we can view the resurgent Vikings as potentially a team to catch in wild card race so let's throw that as an option as 9 wins does get you in the potential wild card hunt.

Bucs remaining games - @49ers, @Colts, V Carolina, @Atlanta, @Green Bay, vs Jaguars, vs Saints, @Carolina

we are all riding high after a double digit win over the lowly Titans. But let's be honest, when it comes to playing teams with a winning record, the Bucs are 1-4 (Detroit, Philadelphia, Buffalo, Houston)  Any reason to think that 49ers or Jaguars are not guaranteed losses?

The rest of the games are winnable but would you be shocked with a loss to Colts, Saints, and Panthers?

Most likely result in the Todd Bowles led team - 7 wins, 10 losses - 49ers, Colts, Jaguars, Saints, @Carolina losses; ending the season with 3 straight losses and the end of his head coaching career.

but do i think we can also end up 9-8 with losses to 49ers, Jaguars, and Saints; yes!  it's just i dont have faith in this team just yet because of a win over the lowly Titans at home.

Saints remaining games - @ ATL, VS DET, vs CAR, VS NYG, @LAR, @TB, VS Falcons

another fraud of a team that is 0-3 against teams with winning records. Likely a split with the falcons, loss to the Lions, loss at Rams in the cards for them.  Gets them to 9-8. Could be a huge game against us to determine the division.

Believe under this positive thinking 9-8 scenario, both of us are 4-2 in division and 1-1 head to head.  If only the nfl playoff machine was available to see who gets in!

Atlanta remaining games - @NO, @NYJ, vs TB, @Car, V Colts, @Chi, @NO

this team will fall off.  A split against Saints, loss to Tampa Bay, maybe even a loss to Carolina possible.  Colts, @Chicago, and @NYJ Jets all losable games.  I think they can maybe win 3 more to get to 7-10 and not in the playoff race

Minnesota remaining games - @DEN, v Bears, @Raiders, @Cincy, VS Lions, vs Green Bay, @ Lions

likely a split with Detroit, loss to Cincy is the toughest games.  Could they lose 1 more, potentially - gets them to 10-7.

Week 11 - what to watch for

wont tell us much about Tampa as we expect them to get their teeth kicked in

Rooting for Falcons to beat the Saints

Rooting for the Vikings to somehow lose to Denver.  We will need Vikings to cool off if we want another chance at wild card if division doesn't go our way

It is possible the NFCS sends a wildcard as well but more likely only division winner will make it to the playoffs.

After SF our schedule becomes entirely winnable games.

we will be right there for the division imho.

Can’t afford to lose to atl again if we want the division.

sweeping the saints would be huge as well!

I mean let’s be honest. We thought the eagles were winnable game at 2-0. We thought Detroit was winnable at 3-1. We thought Atlanta and Houston were winnable.

after beating the lowly titans and if we play like that, hell we have the confidence don’t even count us out against the 49ers!

can the team play consistently well is the question and the answer Vegas betting odds favorite is No.

"we?"

lol, kidding.

I think your point is spot on though if it is that based on performance to date it might be a stretch to expect that this team wins out all those games

7-10 probably wins the pathetic NFC South. Worst QBs play in the NFL division wise I've seen in quite sometime. I'm glad we didn't trade for Carr

i mean yeah.  We ride high on emotions. team should have never lost to Texans or Falcons and found a way.  Got to imagine they will lay more duds and fine a way in other games.

like my confidence is that it's hard to not imagine a loss to Carolina this year and they are terrible.

and 7-10 isnt going to cut it.  Falcons are toast but feel the Saints likely end up with 8-9 wins

First of all most of the issues that plagued the Bucs during the losing skid were self inflicted and not necessarily a talent deficiency against opponents.  The 49ers however are stacked talent wise top to bottom.  But their offense runs through Deebo and McCaffrey.  Shut down the run between Deebo and McCaffrey and it instantly becomes a slug fest between the two defenses.

The rest of the Bucs schedule is favorable because of NFC and divisional matchups.  Basically 4-5 more wins can win the division but if the young players actually start to grow I think they can squeeze out 6 more wins with this average roster.

But what matters down the stretch is coaching more so than talent because Bowles has to show his coaching staff can rally this team to wins in November and December.  Another skid down the stretch would not look good for his staff.

yeah my lack of confidence is not in our mid level talent but rather the coaching and self inflicted wounds

we will lose games we shouldn't.

We won the Viking and Saints game which one would argue is games we shouldnt have won but that 3-1 start feels like 2 seasons ago.

going 0-4 with 2 very winnable games and not matching up to Detroit or Buffalo, it's hard to say we are back after beating the Titans.

We have just 2 losable games on the rest of the schedule - 49ers, Jacksonville.  This team should be 10-7.

but i just think we are more likely to be 7-10 given the coaching and self inflicted wounds

The NFCS champ will be determined by the Saints at Bucs on the next to last weekend of the season. Doubtful if the team that loses that game will be a wild card team.

Imagine if we had beat the Texans and were sitting at 5-4?

Would feel completely different

I think whatever Bowles did before the Titans game might be too little too late, but the defense has been underperforming since last season.  This season they had some good fortune, but it really became obvious in key games and with the play of key players like White and David and Dean
