Some with "football acumen" might see a bad line, terrible TE blocking, no running game. penalties, dropped passes and even a terrible defense
And, some "who don't spend their time posting elementary coach speak and interjecting lame political quips" might see a QB that has a difficult time processing reads, not being able to see over an O-Line, not recognizing progressions beyond the first read, and one who couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat as it pertains to the deep ball.
Then again, the prior are the same dipshits who gave Lovie Leftwhich a pass on everything, and still do.
So, there's that.
When you have to make stuff up (Leftwich a pass) you’ve basically surrendered.
I’ve told you this before Buggsy
Literally everything I've posted is factual and can be backed up, Java.
Must be a new bartender in your parts.
Poor fella', hasn't learned yet to cut off the drunk driving ambulance chasing douchebag early.
He'll learn.
week 6 - lions - again superior team
This is a game we should've won.
Damn shame our QB missed FOUR WIDE OPEN TD PASSES throughout the game and gassed out our defense.
but just one loss was his fault so 5-5.
This is the same record as Brady.
not comparing Mayfield to Brady saying the crazy Trask Gator loons aren’t calling for Trask then EVEN though that team goes on to limp into the playoffs and then get crushed
According to Gator Buggsy the 2022 outcome (where he and other Gators were silent about Trask) is the outcome that should get Licht to bench Mayfield now because “if they get to the playoffs they will just lose”
IF THAT TRANSPARENT HYPOCRISY IS NOT ENOUGH … recall that the Gator loons of today previously castigated Seminole loons for their irrational love of Winston.
Lmao
and if that’s not enough Buggsy wants you all to know you lack “football acumen” if you disagree on Trask
week 3 - eagles - they are the superior team. We lose this game no matter who you have unless we somehow had a top 10 QB
week 6 - lions - again superior team
week 8 - buffalo - superior team
You’re being very generous here. Those being superior teams doesn’t excuse poor play from the six-year vet QB. These three games were Mayfield’s three lowest completion percentages of the season. I’m not expecting him to play like an MVP, but he needs to play better than he did.
When you have to make stuff up (Leftwich a pass) you’ve basically surrendered.
This pathetic asshole loves to act as if he wasn’t making excuse after excuse after excuse for Leftwich’s performance last year.
Completely shameless.

so two worlds always colliding
the “football acumen” brothers (who think Licht should bench Mayfield because what’s a playoff win anyways lol) said last year was Leftwich, this year is Mayfield.
that’s it.
no need to post anymore lol.
if you watch the game and those are your conclusions ….
so
be
it
“football acumen”

”but either way Licht should step in and bench him because … I mean… even if the get to the playoffs ..”
lol
Buggsy, to think you exist to call others dumb
bwhahaha
Literally everything I've posted is factual and can be backed up,
Me giving Leftwich a pass.
Go for it. You quote it and I will quote myself right behind it
go for it

DH, I look forward to you backing this up.
saying (CORRECTLY) that Leftwich was not the only problem with the 2022 team (your position) is not giving him a pass it’s actually just understanding football.
quote me.
you’ll see me saying the defense let us down … over objections … and how did that Dallas playoff game go?
oh wait .., that was just Bowles sitting players :-)
Go ahead DH … back it up.
No running game matters in 2022
and it’s not just the play calls lol
hows the line doing in 2023? Completely different run scheme
I have no idea how any non-Gator would see a QB controversy?
1. Baker is a journeyman who isn't the long term answer and he has an expiring contract.
2. Whether you think he should have been the pick or not, Bucs invested a 2nd round pick in Trask.
3. Baker does some nice things but if we're being honest he has good WRs and is getting get good tackle play. Almost everyone would be doing the samething, if not better.
This is where you kind of depart from reality. You mean there is sort of an academic controversy about who should play given the two QBs different trajectory. Thats an interesting academic discussion (I guess) but you should be able to at least acknowledge that there is now way there is a controversy under the actual circumstances today?
In other words, there isn't a single coach or front office person or. . most importantly . . a PLAYER . . even suggesting that Trask should replace the veteran, Mayfield, against the Colts, right?
The "controversy" is something you conjure because the current QB is not "the long term answer" and the Bucs "invested a 2nd round pick in Trask."
Just because they aren't saying it publicly doesn't mean it isn't being talked about.
hahaha
"its true because I say its true and unless and until you disprove it"
The entire summer there were daily reports of Baker vs Trask. 3 months later the Bucs are 4-6 with a bottom third offense and we're just going to pretend Trask isn't on the team.
just out of curiosity, if Trask started the year, what do you think the Bucs record would be?
and your answer cant be "we dont know, we haven't seen him play in a game sans Falcons last year"
That's exactly what the answer is. He might suck, he might be pretty good. I don't know, you don't know, the coaches don't even know. I can name 25+ examples of written off QBs coming in and having good careers. But Baker is a dead end and we need to find out what we have in Trask. I feel it makes the most sense in the current time and for the future of the franchise.
Best case scenario: Baker stinks vs Colts, Trask starts rest of the way and we go on a nice run vs these bad NFC teams. Trask goes into the next season as the starter at $1.8M and we fully reset our cap.
Worst case scenario: Baker starts the rest of the way. Bucs win some games but miss the playoffs or even make it but get rocked in Wild Card. Baker signs a Geno Smith deal (3 years, $75M) and keeps playing like this but the team around him gets progressively worse (because our cap is jacked) and we just stink for awhile.
I'm tired of talking about. I stated my case clearly, it makes sense to me. If it doesn't make sense to you I don't care.

JC . . in an other thread you are arguing that Bowles should go with Trask over Mayfield because "we are 11th in the NFC."
here, your'e admitting that there is NO football reason to do so because the "coaches dont even know" what they have in Task
Thats called both sides of your mouth
my updated outlook
WEEK 12
Bucs lose to Colts
Falcons over Saints
-Bucs should be able to beat the Colts but they are way too inconsistent as a team so the 1.5 point favored Colts take it, giving a significant blow to our playoff chances.
-Falcons do their job in beating the Saints, Falcons and Saints sit at 5-6 with Bucs at 4-7
WEEK 13
Bucs over Panthers
Lions over Saints
Jets over Falcons
-What a week for the Bucs. All 3 tied at 5-7
WEEK 14
Bucs over Falcons
Saints over Panthers
-huge road victory for Tampa Bay. Owns tiebreaker in first place at 6-7 with New Orleans. Falcons at 5-8
WEEK 15
Bucs lose to Packers
Saints over Giants
Panthers over Falcons
-Bucs follow up big win with a dud and lose to Green Bay. Saints get big win, falcons in a nose dive. Saints in first at 7-7, Bucs at 6-8
WEEK 16
Bucs lose to Jaguars
Rams over Saints
Falcons over Colts
-Bucs get the help they need from Rams but cant compete with the Jaguars. Saints at 7-8, Bucs and Falcons at 6-9
WEEK 17
Bucs over Saints
Bears over Falcons
-Bucs get huge home victory. We are kings of the mediocre south baby. Bucs in first at 7-9, owning tie breaker over 7-9 Saints
WEEK 18
Saints over Falcons
Bucs lose to Carolina
- in typical Todd Bowles led Bucs fashion, we need a road victory over the 3 win Panthers and we cant do it. Saints take division
New Orleans 8-9
Bucs 7-10
Falcons 6-11
Carolina 4-13
Spot on in week 12. Worried if we can beat panthers. Maybe a Bowles firing can spark team?
