Injuries on both sides of the ball leaves the Bucs in flux for this road game against the Panthers. Chris Godwin is done for the season and it doesn't look like Mike Evans or Leonard Fournette will play. They'll get Antonio Brown back for the first time in over two months, while Ronald Jones becomes the starting running back once again.I'm expecting a lot of RoJo on the ground and a bounce back game from Rob Gronkowski. That might just be enough for the Bucs.
All of the injuries on defense aren't great either. Lavonte David could be out for the rest of the regular season and Antoine Winfield Jr. hasn't practice yet this week. They'll get help playing against Cam Newton, who's not the quarterback he used to be. Outside of Winfield, the rest of the secondary is finally healthy with Mike Edwards and Jamel Dean ready to return. I think the Bucs play tight coverage and allow Shaq Barrett and Joe Tryon-Shoyinka to take down Newton. There's reports that Sam Darnold could play too, which is fine. Tampa Bay gets two turnovers in the game. My guess is either Edwards - the team's best ballhawk, or Carlton Davis - the team's best cornerback, gets a pick while the Bucs also force a fumble on a strip sack. The Bucs beat Carolina in the first of their two games over the next three weeks.
