At least there’s a silver lining.

But, the article mentions something worse.

The report states the FO gave the green light to can this loser after the Seattle debacle or during the bye…

…but Todd vetoed it.

Total bullshit and Bowles should be fired for that alone.

At the very least, Jason, Bruce, or even Tom should’ve had authority to override that.

Unreal.

Anybody with a clue can see it needs to happen.  And then you have the dumbass duo and those with “allegiances” to Lefty.

Nobody is coming here to coach this offense with Kyle Trask as QB. We are fooked.

The fact there was a termination plan in place and Bowles punted because “he didn’t feel like there was an upgrade from Byron” is reason enough alone to shit can that moron.

There are at least a dozen OC’s in the league who could’ve averaged 25+ ppg with this offensive roster.

Just curious, you're saying that there was an outside, in-season OC option who would've come here to be the OC of this "25+ ppg" offense?

PR - "It’s likely that Bowles didn’t see a potential upgrade at play-caller on the current staff, which is why he stayed with Leftwich for the rest of the year."

No.

Im saying there are at least a dozen OC’s around the league who could average 25+ per game with this offense. Not that they were options. Just making a point.

But, regarding our actual staff, they could’ve given Garver or Lewis a shot at it.

I was calling for Lefty’s head early in the season. Looking back on it now, if they fired him, they would have had to select an interim OC from within and that likely wouldn’t have led to much improvement. Hiring from outside might have been even more disruptive. I’m of the opinion they need to fire the entire coaching staff asap and start over. Bowles is not the guy who will bring this team back to glory.

agreed but he is most likely the guy who would lead the team through a transition period, especially because he IS the guy who took a HC job even though it meant he would be without his own staff AND basically second to Brady

They'd better fire them both.  I've never seen a coaching duo have a team more talented and accomplish less with it.   Todd Bowles and Byron LeftBITCH had a Super Bowl condenter and ran it into the ground.  For that, they deserve to get their walking papers.

@bucman Trask wont be the starting QB . People who want this worship Trask or can’t see that the guy is not good.

They will have to make a decision soon, as the coaching musical chairs is underway.   The Bucs have some good players on offense, but they don't have a top 20 quarterback and they can't afford one through free agency.  They will have to make do this year at QB, but that's the whole NFC South.  They scored 18 points a game.  Not good, but usually teams looking for OCs aren't the ones who scored 30 points a game because those teams don't fire their OC.  Not the worst job in the league, but not the most attractive either.   We'll see what the Bucs can do, but I don't see Monken coming here at this time.

He can't be any worse from what we saw last night.

We have yet to see Trask play with a competent receiving corps behind the starting O-line and everyone keeps making judgments about his ability. He's had very little playing time, no chance to really get into a rhythm, so he clearly sucks. /facepalm

He shredded the Georgia and Alabama defenses during his last season with basically one great TE, one good receiver, and a very good back. This team has done him and the team a disservice by not letting him play with the starters for a series or two during the handful of pre-season drives he's had a chance to lead. I'm not saying he's going to succeed, but we need to see him in more favorable circumstances.

As for Leftwich, dude needs to go. We need someone who can scheme players open by stressing defenses, forcing them to make decisions that leaves someone open. BL ain't the guy.
