For those of us who played organized sports growing up there were always players on our teams that made spectacular plays in practice and were always on or around the ball, only to be a major let down when the real games came around.  This thought came to mind this weekend as I watched our Bucs win in comeback fashion in Pittsburg. All Summer long we heard PR and other media agencies talk about how sound McCown was with the football.  How night and day it was to the Freeman era.  I too was drinking the Kool-Aid thinking to myself we might have gotten the steal of FA.  However deep down I always wondered if this guy is so good and as athletic as everyone keeps saying why hasn't he had a shot to start before last year?In rewatching our first 3 games when McCown was starting I saw a QB that had extremely happy feet in the pocket and a tendency to force a lot of passes.  This left me thinking is it that our OC isn't here making sound calls or is it our OL that’s allowing a lot of pressure?  Then Glennon steps in and finishes a wreck of a game in ATL.  Fast forward a week and it’s the first half of the PITT game and we are headed to the locker room.  I thought to my self is this kid going to be a gamer or are we destin to lose out and grab a new QB in the draft?  I have to say Glennon impressed me in the second half stepping up in the pocket even with pressure and delivering some good balls.  Now I’m not going to say he is the franchise answer just yet, but I see a real difference in a practice player and a gamer.
