Cut Anthony Collins, Dashon Goldson, Mike KoenenSign:FS Devon McCourty - 5 years 48m- Best Safety in the game. Fits Lovie's defense to a T. Worth the 9+ per year, and a staple of our defense, along with David and McCoy.ILB Jon Beason - 2 years 10m- Gives us a proven, trusted ILB to lock down the defense in 2015. Barring injury, Beason is one of the best and he would love to come back to FL and play for Lovie. He'd be perfect for helping a rookie transition into the position in the next year or two. DE Brandon Graham - 3 years 12m- Finally gets his shot in a 4-3 where be belongs. I think could push Johnson for the RDE position. I think his ceiling is 11 sacks and his floor is about 7-8. Solid in run support as well.WR Jacoby Jones - 3 years 10m- Solid 4th receiver really beefs up our WR group (Jackson, Evans, Murphy, Jones) but his true value is in kick and punt returns. Jones is reliable, he's not gonna muff the kick, and he's still pretty good running them back. He isn't going to be the long term answer, but he'll leave us at peace about the position for 2015. FB Henry Hynoski - 2 years 5m- One of the better blocking FBs in the league. Still pretty young. Anyone else notice our running game fell off when we let Erik Lorig move to New Orleans? And what a coincidence, Mark Ingram had his best year as a Saint, nearly eclipsing 1,000. Hint. Hint. We need a FB.G James Carpenter - 1 year 2.5m- Decent value. He most likely won't start unless the rookie needs more time adjusting to the pro game. Serves us well as a valuable back up.1- QB - Jameis Winston Winston has the grit, the charisma, and the football IQ that every NFL team covets. He HATES to lose, which is why he never lost a game - until his team had a meltdown in the rose bowl. His passing skills are comparable to Luck's. He blew Mariucci away on the drawing board which really is a hell of a statement. He was immature, but he sees what his future can hold and I highly doubt he throws it away. I trust Winston to be the face of this organization. He will be very involved in the community and more involved in OneBuc. He won't have time to do stupid things, and he understands his role now and will keep his nose clean regardless. Mariota will be a decent player in the NFL. But Winston is the clear-cut, slam-dunk, first-overall, undisputed face of the franchise. His clutch genes, and his ability to rally the troops, will lead Tampa Bay to the playoffs in 2015.2- OT/C - Cam Erving Erving is a very versatile lineman. He has been the mvp of the FSU OL over the last few years. Years in which the offense put up big numbers in the running game and the passing game. His versatility is something teams salivate over. Erving is a LT talent who can thrive at C, and most likely either G position. Being able to play anywhere across the line is something most 2nd round guys can't do. If somehow Erving slides to #34, and word is he just might, we hit back-to-back homeruns in the top 2 rounds with our franchise QB followed by our franchise LT. 3- ILB - Stephone Anthony Anthony is a solid ILB prospect. Being able to sit behind Beason for a little while will help him greatly, although I fully expect him to share snaps with Beason as much as 50-50 by midseason. There were questions about his speed, but he put that to bed with a blazing 40 time. He was a key player for Clemson's defense, and I expect him to be the same for us. 4- OT/G - Donovan Smith Donovan gives us another versatile lineman. He projects to me as a G who can play either T spot in a pinch. Really big guy who's got some good tape coming out of Penn State. I liken him to Iupati in that he can be a true mauler at LG. I think he could very well start at RG from day one. Erving-Mankins-EDS-Smith-Dotson. OL problem solved.5- RB - David Johnson *package both 5's to move up and get himDavid Johnson is a bruiser. He's everything we don't have at RB. In short yardage or goal line situations, this is the guy you want to hand off to. Late in games when teams are tired of chasing down Martin and Sims, you plug Johnson in and let him pound the rock against a tired defense. Johnson also can contribute as a core special teamer. A great value at the tail end of round 5.6- CB Justin ColemanColeman is a guy I've been following since the end of the season. He is a very impressive Nickel CB with good speed, awareness, and ball skills. He may not ever transition to the outside like Barber did, but he could make a long living in the slot. His production steadily improved throughout his career in Tennessee. I believe he had 9 interceptions in his Junior/Senior years. He can step in with little time needed to get up to speed, and be a vast improvement over Leonard Johnson.7- DE Zach WagenmannWagenmann is your typical small-school over-achiever. His work ethic and matching production are worth taking a shot at round 7. He likely doesn't become much more than a special teamer, but we'll see what we can get out of him.
