“Last week I noted that Dave Canales used play-action on 57% of his pass-calls and called that rate staggering. I need to find a new adjective. On Saturday the Bucs used play-action on 17 of 19 pass plays. That’s 89.5%!
And they worked.
Kyle Trask and John Wolford combined to go 12-of-15 for 134 yards while averaging 8.9 yards per attempt when throwing out of play-action.”

Hmm…I was told on good authority here that Play Action simply doesn’t work (or isn’t effective) unless you’re running the ball well.
It’s weird…
“#Bucs OC Dave Canales said it's "dumb coaching" to not have scheme help the players, and making players go "mano vs. mano" on every play.”
- SR
Whoa! Shots fired!

I'm pretty sure Leftwich felt that hit him in the ass. He has no one to blame but himself, though.
Mayfield looked sharp that drive
D not so much
Trey Palmer is a freaking stud , the catches this kid makes , wow
The amount of routes that are simply WIDE open are a nice change of pace.
Nice fresh breath of air from last year's clown at OC.
I know many think Mayfield will flop
i think he will be a top 12 QB this year
135.4 QB rating
14 of 15 Passing
105 yards
2 TDs
0 INTs
93.3 %
7 Yards Per Attempt
Chef Canales is cooking.
Making average Qb's look good in this new scheme.
Trask missed the absolute gimme TD pass there.
That blown coverage by White that lead to the Treadwell TD was just par for the course with this guy.
Hopefully, SirVocea works out, because we need to cut bait with this clown.
White will never figure it out... I had hope that a contract year would light a fire.
Maybe it still will... but he cannot process coverage.
Because AGAIN he was a RB for most of his life before he switched to LB.
Myles Jack did the same at UCLA and same deal. Athletic but no feel especially in coverage.
