JBF does a really good job of providing numerous sources of information on the Bucs. No idea why some people think they need to choose between the two.
The way its presented over there at JBF, is juvenile. I assume it hasn't changed much since last time I clicked on it, a year or two ago.
I'm looking for content so I just blow through the nonsense and go straight for the jugular. He does a good job pulling from a wide variety of sources. Saves me time and delivers content I may not have otherwise found. Not at all unusual to find information on his site long before I do here. But it's two different types of product so I'm happy getting best of what both offer. But to be fair he also offers good little nuggets of commentary too.
I've never understood the craving for the absolute breaking news. a few minutes, even hours difference in reading the information has never affected me. Rushing it out, only seems to undermine the credibility by often getting only half the story. I'd prefer to read the full story once all the facts have been sorted out and a complete and accurate picture can be created. just my opinion of course.There are some individual posters here on the Red Board, who break down and analyze the games and roster better than anything I have read on JBF, so again no real draw to visit or read them. And yes, the juvenile "trying too hard to be cool, when I am am really the biggest dork in any room" act is a turn off. But the thing that really drove me away from ever visiting that site, is their constant claims of being " real journalists." If anyone wants to type out the drivel they do, with the obvious biases, sloppy reporting and ham handed writing- have at it, and good luck. If you want to shill for your advertisers with dishonest commentary in the middle of your stories- more power to you, I'm all for capitalism. Just please refrain from calling yourself a journalist of any kind.I know this is long winded, but I was really put off when I read an "article" on JBF making complete untruths about Brighthouse Networks, trying to promote Verizon. I don't care one way or the other about either provider, but lying to your readers is never acceptable and certainly not the act of a true journalist- despite whatever your U of Phoenix diploma says...

I've never thought JBF was too bad, always just very convenient. They always have some sort of agenda though which makes reading very laborious. After the 73rd straight blurb, I think I am finally starting to connect the dots: JBF wants Manziel, and wants Revis gone.
Don't post much but just wanted to thank Pewter Report for their continued professional coverage of the Buccaneers. Tried Joe Bucs for a bit and for the life of me can't understand how any sane fan can find that site worth a damn. Very TMZish. Props Pewter Report for your work.

Yo man, it depend on what era you talking about. It used to be no comparison and it was PR all the way. PR used to be spot on with stuff and some times the first to report stuff or hint at stuff that turned out to be true later dawg. But PR has gone down hill over the past few years. They aint breaknig no news no more, they be way late on some news that gets reported other places hours or even days before, and too much of the stuff they be reporting turns out to be wrong. Now PR has become the Marky Mark Dominick Report and I be losing lots of respect for PR with the nonsense they be writing lately. They be pushing agendas (sign Freeman and Dom to extensions, Freeman can babysit my kids, fire Schiano the Devil, then protect Free and Dom at all expenses and try to save Dom's job and get him a job after be be fired) instead of doing what they used to do well. The last Fab Five was embarrasing for PR man. All those excuses for Dom supposed to make us feel bad for him or something? Dude was 28-52 as our GM and made a ton of mistakes. But you wont here that from PR cuz they too busy covering for him and having us think he is a good GM. See who else winds up hiring him if he so good man. This been happening so much that I have even thought about leaving here and posting somewhere else. I know others have too. These boards is what keep me here bro, but if PR keep it up I wont be here long. I find myself questioning the credibility of everything they be writing because there bias is so out of control with the Schiano Freeman and Dominick thing.It will be a cold day in hell before I go to JBF. The time I did check it out it was nothing more than what some of my homies on these boards post -- its a collection of stories reported by other reporters. The third person thing is just stupid man. The worst is when JBF go on the radio with the Big Cat on 620. It be like listening to the 3 Stooges. JBF offers absolutely nothing in the way of analysis. PR be at there best on the radio but they aint on 620 no more. Yo, PR. Do what you gotta do to get back on 620. And get it together on your reporting. It been as bad as Freeman at QB last year man.
