There has been a ton of speculation about this years draft class. The consensus is that none of the top 3 or 4 prospects is an Andrew Luck type prospect. So, I beg the question.  What are QB needy teams going to do in the 1st round. Do they gamble? Do they trust there draft board and wait until the 2nd or 3rd round. Do the needy teams address the QB situation with a veteran Free Agent or trade for a Ryan Mallett or Kirk Cousins. Only time will tell. 1Houston Texans NEEDYThe Texans will set the trend IMO for the 2014 Draft. While they are in need of a Franchise QB with the deterioration of Matt Schaub last year and no obvious heir apparent. I expect Houston to bring in a free agent QB. Don't discount Matt Cassel who worked under O'Brien when he was in New England. Pick DE Jadeveon Clowney2St Louis (via Washington) NEEDYOn paper the Rams seem to have Sam Bradford as their starter. They could surprise and take a QB but the odds are the Rams go OL. I've seen speculation that the Rams could trade up with Houston and package the 2nd and 13th pick. I'm calling BS on that notion. Pick OT Greg Robinson3Jacksonville Jaguars NEEDYThe Jags are in a quandary here. Do they go QB or do they take a OT? There fans will be screaming for Bridgewater or Manziel. Pick OT Jake Matthews4Cleveland Browns NEEDY Cleveland could mess every Mock Draft up. Their organization is in total disarray. I look for Cleveland to attempt to trade up with Houston a package of the 4th and 26th to secure the QB they desire. With or without the trade up. Pick QB Johnny Manziel5Oakland Raiders NEEDYThe Raiders are always the wildcard come draft day. It's just in there nature. If they go QB then it's going to be Teddy Bridgewater. They won't.Pick- WR Sammy Watkins6Tennessee Titans (Trade with the Atlanta)I'm expecting the Falcons to trade back with whichever team comes calling for the right to pick Teddy Bridgewater or Blake Bortles. My guess is the Falcons entertain offers from the Vikings and Titans. The Titans offer more. Pick QB Blake Bortles7Tampa Bay Buccaneers NEEDYI fully expect all the Glennon haters to hate me and the Glennon fan club to love me. There will be and that will be screaming for Bridgewater at #7. I say no way. I think the Bucs are going to land Josh McCown or Matt Flynn to push Mike Glennon. I also expect the Bucs to select a QB after the 1st round but not here. Lovie thrived in Chicago with a disruptive DL and an outstanding corp of LB. The having addressed the DL in Free Agency. Pick OLB/DE Anthony Barr8Minnesota Vikings NEEDYPick QB Teddy Bridgewater9Buffalo BillsOLB Khail Mack10Detroit LionsPick CB Justin Gilbert11Atkanta Falcons (trade with Titans) NEEDYPick TE Eric Ebron12New York GiantsPick LB CJ Mosley13St. Louis RamsPick DT Louis Nix14Chicago Bears Pick WR Marquis Lee15Pittsburgh SteelersPick DE/DT Stephon Tuitt16Baltimore RavensPick WR Mike Evans17Dallas CowboysPick OT Taylor Lewan18New York Jets NEEDYFor whatever reason the Jets are willing to go with Geno Smith at QB. That's why they are the Jets. Pick OT Cyrus Kouandjio19Miami DolphinsPick DE Kony Ealy20Arizona Cardinals NEEDYPick OG David Yankey21Green Bay PackersPick DT Timmy Jernigan22Philadelphia EaglesPick CB Bradley Roby23Kansas City Chiefs NEEDYPick OT Zach Martin24. Cincinnati BengalsPick DT Ra'Shede Hageman25. San Diego ChargersPick DT Aaron Donald26. Cleveland Browns (f/IND) NEEDY Pick CB Darqueze Denard27. New Orleans SaintsPick S HaHa Clinton-Dix28. Carolina PanthersPick RB Tre Mason29. New England PatriotsPick WR Kelvin Benjamin30. San Francisco 49ersPick LB Kyle Van Noy31Denver BroncosPick LB Ryan Shazier32. Seattle SeahawksPick WR Jordan MatthewsI've never done a full 1st round Mock draft before.  In the 2nd round I'd like to see the Bucs pick up Derek Carr or Jimmy Garropolo. That's just me being a greedy fan.

He said it was his first mock draft. Give the guy a break. The top parts might help him, but the bolded was unnecessary.

That's pretty interesting. My last mock I did went exactly the same for the first four picks. Clowney HOURobinson STLMathews JAXManziel OAKBridgewater OAKWatkins ATLBortles TBOakland will go for the best QB and no way ATL can pass on Watkins. I just don't see how you can have the Bucs choosing a 3-4 LB and passing on an obvious need and a rare opportunity to get a highly rated QB prospect.

Atlanta is picking either an offensive lineman or defensive lineman.

I know them. They traded 5 draft picks to move up to draft Julio Jones. Roddy White is getting old. And when you look at their needs OL CB and DE,  there is absolutely nobody there at either position worth taking.

Who do you think they will reach for if Clowney Mathews and Robinson are off the board? I just can't imagine them drafting one of the 3-4 LB tweeners.

Joeckel was injured and is rehabbing a severe ankle injury. He started the season as a RT with the Jags. Most of the Draftniks have the QB going high based on need. None of these QB's are sure fire franchise QB's. After all the evaluations are done other players are going to grade out higher.

Why does Atlanta need another high priced WR when they have Jones and White? not going to happen.

If it stays as it is, the bucs will be able to draft one of the top three qb's imo.We won't get pick of the litter, but any of them are an upgrade over glennon.

If Bridgewater is still there at 7, I'd hope the Bucs would be giving  the Cardinals a phone call to work out a trade. 1st and 2nd to move up from 20's to 7 for Bridgewater? Yes please.

The more quarterbacks taken early, the better. I'm hoping Sammy Watkins gets pushed down to us.

My thought exactly when I started this thread out.  I never intended the thread to be a 1st round Mock. It just evolved into that. I'm thinking either the Rams or the Cards would be willing trade partners. The Cardinals might be willing to forfeit a few picks in the mad race to compete against the Seahags and 49ers.
