The more quarterbacks taken early, the better. I'm hoping Sammy Watkins gets pushed down to us.

I like Watkins also but my gut is saying that once the evaluations are done this QB class is going to drop on Draft boards.

I still think the hatred on this QB class is overplayed. It is the reflection of the Luck Griffin class and people forget that guys with questions like Stafford and Bradford went 1 overall and a draft with Eli, Rith and Rivers who were far short of elite prospects all went in the top 12. There are basically 3 top end prospects who aren't QBs -- Clowney, Robinson and Matthews. WRs aren't top end players people want to spend high picks on (for a good reason). Teams are going to be staring a guys like Mack or Barr or a QB they might find flawed but neither of those guys is a perfect prospect either.

The hatred of the QB's in this draft has reached the level of irrationality.  This will turn out to be one of the better drafts for QB's in a long time IMO. Bucs miss out they will be hurting.

I'm not hating on the QB draft class. I like Bridgewater and Bortles. I'm not sold on Manziel as a starter. With Manziel, do you get a Brett Favre or do you get Ryan Leaf? All 3 are complete gambles as a Franchise QB. If the Bucs do get a shot at one of these guys then I'm on board as they are he professionals making the selection and I'm just a fan.

If Bridgewater is still there at 7, I'd hope the Bucs would be giving  the Cardinals a phone call to work out a trade. 1st and 2nd to move up from 20's to 7 for Bridgewater? Yes please.

If Bridgewater is there why in the world would you pass on him

We've all seen crazier things happen in the NFL Draft. I think there will be more insight after the Combine is over. Hopefully the top 3 all compete there. It will be fun to watch. Personally of the top 3 I'd hope Bridgewater or Bortles drop to #7. Probably not going to happen and hopefully the Bucs don't fall in love with one of these QB's or Clowney and try to trade up with the Rams.

How do figure that there is no way ATL can pass on watkins?

Why does Atlanta need another high priced WR when they have Jones and White? not going to happen.

Both of those WRs were injured last year and look at what happened to their season. They have already shown that they place a very high value on the WR position by trading 5 draft picks for Julio Jones. What happened to them last year will only reinforce that. The only question I have is whether or not Watkins would be their top rated WR. They could easily go with Eric Ebron instead.

LOLBoth of Atlanta's lines are trash.  They are going to have to do major work there.  With White and Jones on the roster a WR is a ridiculous waste.  They won't have anyone to throw it to them if they don't fix the OL, and their DL is a huge liability.  They are grabbing Clowney if he's there, otherwise probably the best OL they can get.

Picks don't win games. Players do.

The Falcons have a mandate from the top to increase their toughness. They're going to pick some sort of a big-bodied position. "I'm going to give you a little different answer than Smitty gave you last week,'' Blank said. "He was asked the question about how tough our team was. And I read his answer. And in many ways, I would agree with it. But in some ways, I would not agree with it. I think the nature of the game is that it's a physically violent game. It is a tough game. To play football on the professional level and the college level or even the high school level, you've got to be a tough kid. You've got to be a tough person, I think. And I think a lot of our players are certainly that."I think, at the end of the day, if I asked you ... give me a brief definition of what toughness is, I think you might say something else, but you might say to me it's how you control the line of scrimmage. Can you run the ball? Can you stop the run? ... And I don't think we did either one of those things very well this year. So I would say, if you looked at toughness from that perspective, I don't think we were as tough as we needed to be.''"It doesn't mean we want players that are going to end up in different sections of the newspaper other than the sports section,'' Blank said. "But I do think we want players that have the capacity to be tough; as tough as they need to be, to play right up to the line, to the edge of the line, and to have coaches that can coach them that way as well.''

1. I would be shocked if all 3 of the QBs weren't gone by the time we pick at #7. 2. ATL is going BPA on OL/DL. Period.3. If I read correctly, you put "NEEDY" next to teams who have a need at QB. So the "Atkanta" Falcons and Chiefs are now QB needy?..and Tennessee and Buffalo arent in comparison?4. I also agree with the sentiment that the Jags will not be going OT two years in a row with a top 3 pick.

Bridgewater is a hell of a consolation prize if we miss out on Watkins.

Because this team is in dire need of some overhaul on the Oline, TE, DE and WR. I may not be sold on any of the QBs that folks are drooling about, but I am also not blind to recognise that no rookie is going to flourish with the garbage in front of him. If Bridgewater is there and we can get another 2nd rounder for moving down then I am all for it. That way we can get one of the top 3 TEs in this draft and draft some Oline help with our top 3 picks. I also see Glennon as being worth another year in a proper system to judge him properly. I'd rather fill out the rest of the team first and draft a QB when it is absolutely clear that Glennon is not the answer and when the team can make up for the rookie mistakes that will happen.
