Justin Mosqueda did an interesting piece comparing NFL OL coaches. What he does is use a simple equation to find "sack value" and "tackle for a loss value" in essence to determine how well an OL coach has done with his unit in pass and run blocking.
The equation also factors in how many sacks or TFLs were in the NFL that year to normalize per year.
Unsurprisingly, Dante Scarnecchia leads the NFL by a wide, wide margin. I don't know if anyone remembers how much worse the Pats OL was when he retired for a few years. He's a HoF level position coach.
In a big shocker, Warhop is the 2nd worst OL coach in the NFL. To put it into numbers: he's 3x worse than Scharnecchia.
Interestingly, Mike Solari (SEA) is 31st and Tom Cable (OAK) 32nd. But Cable is stil 2x worse than Solari.
