It’s clear that parents are keeping their kids in that miserable stew of mediocrity. It’s been a shit box product for some time now.
Wut?
The Cowboys haven't been a top tier franchise in a long long time. The only way for them to retain their ratings level - 5 primetime games a year, is for a pool of downtrodden fans from yesteryear bullying their kids into fandom (poor stupid bastards). It's really something.
Interesting side note, as many feel that the AFCN is the best division in the game. In the past 10 seasons, the division has 11 playoff wins total. It's weird...

A fellow non-Cowboy fan.
The whole topic is a pretty interesting case study on expectations.
Over the last decade, the Cowboys have probably averaged about a win more per season than the Bucs (on average) but they are always hyped as a SB contender. And thats where the problem for them arises. For example, recently they have maybe 3 seasons with 12 wins? But they almost always seem to fall flat in the playoffs. I think two of those recent seasons are wild card knockouts. Maybe 3? Not sure
More than a generation has passed since Aikman and his 15 TDs in a season won the Super Bowl. Completely different game now. It’s clear that parents are keeping their kids in that miserable stew of mediocrity. It’s been a shit box product for some time now.
Since 2000, the Cowboys have the 11th most wins in the NFL. If that's a "shit box product", what are the 21st ranked (includes two Superbowl winning seasons) Buccaneers?

Probably going to regret this, but in the window you chose aren't the Bucs only 1 less win a season, on average? 222 v 198?
in that time span, don't the Cowboys have something like 6 wild card losses and 2 division playoff losses? and thats it?
We have 2 Super Bowls
Some of those years they are loaded with Pro Bowlers and All-Pros (partially due to their brand), especially relative to the Bucs.
This is why i said it comes down to expectations
