Your body only lasts for so long. Use the youth on NFL. Come back to college if you want, but being an ex NFL player pretty much qualifies you as a gym coach or motivational speaker x)

Only a limited number of slots for players? Idk.
Only thing it hurts is the lack of development from the players. A ton of raw athletes will be drafted. Which will make it more important for coaches to hire a staff that's good at developing talent.
