3-4
Losses to Aints Lions Bills
Good job Seekpar. Record was correct, although who we lost to was off.
Most of them were with a game either way so pretty good.
now, where do they go from here? Anyone want to guess regular season record?
That would be pretty great under the circumstances!
so now at 3-4, where will we end up?
i think these next 2 weeks are must wins. If we cant beat the Texans or Titans, this is not a playoff team.
we have 2 guaranteed losses on the schedule in Jacksonville and 49ers. We have basically shown we dont belong on the same field as the Lions or Eagles and somehow kept it closer with the Bills. so that gets us to 6 losses
think we need to go 10-7, or 9-8 to make playoffs. so can we go 6-2 against Houston, Tennessee, Indy, Car (x2), Atl, NO, and Green Bay? Depends what Bucs team shows up. The September Bucs were a shoe in. This lackluster team that dropped a must win against the Falcons...ehhh...i see us going 3-6 with a 6-11 record.

great post
it wouldn’t have been totally crazy to predict the Bucs would be out of it by now. They are on a bad slide and need to turn it around but they are still in it

The film is out, no changes at the trade deadline so no help coming. Its all about execution.
9-8?
Does that get us in?

yeah 9-8 likely gets us in.
think it would mean we win division. Likely Dallas and Seattle get one of the wild cards but 7th seed likely a 9 win team also so there’s avenue to get there
My problem is that we are 2.5 point underdogs against the lowly Texans. If we lose this Sunday, forget it, can’t imagine us righting the ship. Could you?
a win and I’m back to positive but 4 Ls in a row and confidence is gone
Has Bowles been asked about Trask? At 3-5 you have to let him play to see what you have.

Bowles is not going to bench Mayfield for Trask! That would be admitting that he made a mistake in signing and naming Mayfield the starting QB. Bowles has decided to sink or swim with Mayfield and Mayfield is an anchor for this team.

Yes, I agree that the Texans is almost a must win and not an easy win by any means, but as you say a win and things look up.
I know there is a lot of chatter about Trask. A bad loss to the Texans that falls on Mayfield's play might be the trigger for that kind of change.
Mayfield is an anchor for this team.
I mean, maybe he is an anchor now, but when the Bucs are 3-1 most are crediting him? He played a big role in some of the wins and clearly there are other problems besides him.
I certainly do NOT see Mayfield as great BUT he can definitely be a game manager. Maybe Trask can too? Not sure
Bucs have more invested in Trask than they do Mayfield. If they lose vs Houston let's see what he has the second half of the season. If he's good then maybe we get hot and make the playoffs. If he stinks then we know we need to draft a QB. But right now this is QB purgatory.

Yep to all of this.

agree with that in theory but not in practice, unless Mayfield is the obvious reason we lost to Houston
Fair or not, as long as there is a playoff hope and mayfield is playing okay, Bowles sticks with him. this is why Buggsy (I think?) had to add that Licht should "step in" for Trask if necessary. If Mayfield tsinks it up, the move is easy for Bowles. If not though, Bowles isnt making the move just to see what the Bucs have in Trask because Bowles may not be here next season
