60 - Carolina Panthers - Allen Robinson, WR, Penn StateCarolina double dips at WR, pairing Robinson with Marqise Lee to give Cam the offensive weapons to complement a very good defense.
#61 - San Francisco - Jackson Jeffcoat - DE/OLB - TexasWith no real holes to speak of and after going WR with their first 2 picks, SF takes arguably the best defender on the board.
#62 - New England - Caraun Reid DT/DE - PrincetonNew England snags the DT who recorded 2 consecutive sacks in the Senior Bowl.
63 Seattle selects Martavis Bryant WR Clemson. Seattle is severely lacking a big prototypical WR and they choose one who can stretch the field but is very raw.
64) Denver doubles up on corners and selects Kyle Fuller DB VaTech. A rangy cover corner who is great in run support but lacks elite speed.
Wow. Two rounds in the books. That was a major accomplishment.
Round 2 in the books: 33. Hou - Ford34. Wash - Purifoy35. CLE - Dix36. Oak - Richardson37. ATL - Donald38. TB - Garappolo39. Jax - Beckham40. Minn - Roby41. Buf - Moses42. Tenn - Adams43. SF - Jeffcoat - DE62. NE - Reid - DE/DT63. SEA - Bryant - WR64. DEN - Fuller CBInteresting notes:Running backs are falling fast, most likely because of the success of Morris, James, and Ellington. Seeing that we missed on Donald, and already had a receiver in Watkins, I'm not sure who I would have taken for the Bucs other than Jimmy G, still seems early though. Yankey, Sua'Filo?
Yankey or Su'a Filo would have been good. Or one of the OTs who will convert to guard like Moses or Brandon Thomas from Clemson. I will not complain about getting another QB no matter how much I don't like the guy because we need hope.
