Personally think that Goldson is important to the team in more ways then one. He is very respected in the locker room and Mark Barron, who can really become an All-Pro in my opinion looks ups to him, a lot. Goldson had a bad year but Greg Schiano really made everyone underachieve and only the best of the best actually had a good season, David & McCoy which was solely based on talent.
In a perfect world, We need a guy we can rely on as a single high safety. Barron and Goldson are very alike...enforcer type box safeties.

I don't see Lovie trading away any player he views as talented right now as long as they have the cap room. I've heard that they are very high on Tandy, so if he continues to develop, I could see them trading Goldson down the road but not this year.

I chuckle every time I see the lazy casual fans who label Goldson as a SS/in the box performer. He's one of the best coverage safeties in football. His grades in coverage are near the top. 2013 was a down season for him, and the entire Bucs team. But to say he and Barron are just alike simply because they are both 6-2 210 and have long hair is just lazy. They couldn't be more different. Goldson also happens to be a very physical defender. Fans really do not know what they are talking about. They just see someone post it and repeat what they see.
