We have little leverage. We are sitting here bent over with our pants pulled down and begging for Cleveland to rape us. You guys still thinking we will get a good trade are delusional.
We have more leverage than the Jets did last year. We have him signed for the next 5 years. The Jets only had him signed for 1.
but doesn't that only matter if the team taking him is willing to accept that contract "as is"? I presume most are focused on renegotiating, right?
I'll put the Browns in that category. They have $45M of cap room and Pettine values man to man corners.
Even Browns Fan think a $16,000,000 contract is a sucker bet....only a few fools on this board think it's a bargain... http://thebrownsboard.com/forums/index.php?showforum=2
Be pretty awesome to get the Browns' 2nd and both of their 3rds. Let em keep thiers 1sts. I'd rather have 6 picks in the top 75 of this great draft class.
We'd have the 7th, 35th, 38th, 69th, 71st, and 83rd pick. That's 5 or 6 new starters. Plus we could get more if we tradeback in the first, trade Penn, or trade Mike Will.

This.We don't have to do **CENSORED**! He hasn't demanded any of this, as he did it NYC. He's under contract
you are right. We don't have to do anything but it's obvious this regime doesn't want to keep him at that price. I really think they cut him if this trade doesn't materialize.
Is Haden still on his rookie contract?
Herm Edwards was talking about Revis on First Take. He pointed out that 70% of passes now are between the numbers. So you need CB's that will cover slot receivers and take away TE's. The outside passing game is going away. So with a guy like Revis playing the outside, teams will just put their 4th WR to his side and throw somewhere else. It's hard to justify 16M for that

I really think the Clevelands of the world won't allow it...
That's a nice to have but I doubt they get it. I think the Mack plus one of those picks might have a shot because of the financial aspect of the Mack deal being involved.

Would take it
Ian Rapoport ?@RapSheet 34sIf #Browns were to trade for Darrelle Revis — there is interest — I’m told he’d have to renegotiate his contract. Would he? It’s possible.

If he was willing to do that, we wouldn't be in the situation we are in right now....Stand firm, Bucs.
Haden I believe is a FA after this year. No way they could keep both. Very stupid move on their part if they do trade for him.

Wonder if Cleveland would do some form of Haden for Revis trade with other possible picks/players included. Haden would still be a top 5 corner for us and cost 4 mill a year less.

Right now Browns are $70-80 million under the 2015 salary cap. Without rolling over any of the $45M they have this year.
hahaha.... we know the Browns are stupid but THAT stupid?
