Fucc a 5th? Dude I would take anything we can get right now. Odds are we get nothing and are forced to cut him.

well played Dom . . . .  ughI agree JDub, the Bucs are in  an awful position on Revis

The real question is: Can we get to 100 pages in this thread before Revis leaves the Buc's?

Eat the $1.5M and 3rd and wait it out. Cleveland is the team. They're going to get desperate closer to the draft.

I tend to agree.  My problem has not been with getting rid of Revis.  I understand that.  But there's value there, and just cutting him doesn't take advantage of any of that....

No , do not eat the 3rd ....the 3rd is like a mini-trade in itself . We can find a starter with that pick . It's in the 60's.

If nothing materializes this afternoon, I would agree. They need to extract some value out of this guy, too much invested to give him away.

I wouldn't be shocked if they keep him.

Nobody is going to take on that contract. Nobody. The sad thing is if Dom actually signed Revis to a normal contract (you know, one with guranteed money), it would have been pretty easy to trade him if needed. Or better yet, they might not even have to trade him.

They still have plenty of time to create a 3rd round pick. Stay calm, eat the third and gain an advantage on the clock

Does Revis somehow not make 16 million as the draft gets closer?

They could find a starter 30ish picks later with 4th rounder as well. It's all speculation and conjecture.

Exactly . This is the sticking point . Nothing else. So it doesn't matter how long you wait.

I'm starting to come to peace with the Revis thing. We've sucked donkey balls since 2009 and been through a lot of crap as Bucs fans. But yesterday seemed different.  Seems like we finally have real direction.  We were big in free agency like other years but these seemed like smart choices rather than grasps for air.And in the grand scheme of things, is a lost 1st rounder and a lost 4th rounder that big of a deal compared to the crap we've been through the last 5 years?Cut our losses and move on.

I could see the Bucs paying a big chunk of the $80M remaining on the contract, if the trade compensation was right.
