I say we keep him if we cant get draft picks. I'm still not on board with releasing Revis.
Pats have called to inquire about a trade. They owe us!
4.5 hours. C'mon L&L!!! get something for him. Anything!
Right now with Revis we are about 20 under the cap. If we sign Smith and Collins lets say around 10. Then Tillman and McCown lets say 3-5. Release Penn back up to around 10. We could make it with Revis on the team this year but it will be cutting it close.

We had $23M and we have spent about $18M or so.....how do you figure we have $20M in cap space? We have about $4M. We'll have $20M when we cut/trade Revis.
Play hardball with the Patriots. We have to take the hit of losing a 3rd to gain more later.
I don't want an unhappy Mevis
Patriots only have $12M in cap space......so they either gotta get creative and restructure some guys, cut some guys, or we have to figure out a way to eat some of Revis' cap hit.....but a straight up trade doesn't work.

Oh my bad was looking at overthecap, since I saw Myers and McDonald I assumed the Johnson and Verner contracts were include but they aren't at the moment.
Why if the pats offered the always injured Gronk for Revis to make cap room?

They could trade a player to offset the salary
Ian Rapoport ?@RapSheet 5mIf teams want to trade for Darrelle Revis, then convert his $16M salary into a bonus, the cap number would be $5.6M this year.

Its better than get a 5th or 6th rounder. Gronks cap hit this season is just 5 mil
Why not have Revis reduce his "on the book" pay to $10 million and the Glazers can pay the other $6 million under the table.
