He is getting his palms warmed up, and when Revis signed his deal, did he screw up the corner market for other GMs?Is Sherman, a zone corner blessed with a mongol horde pass rush, worthy of sixteen mil?I can see John Schneider needing anxiety meds in a few months...Sleepless in Seattle. I will be curious to see if the Bucs are the outlier, or if they set the market for elite shut down corners. Hmmm...Should screw with Sherman's deal, IMO.
Revis' deal will be looked at when Sherman gets his. It wont be for nearly as much per year, but will have a big chunk of guaranteed money. No way does Sherman push for a Revis type of contract with lots of non-guaranteed money.
Sherman won't get paid like Revis because the truth, as much as it hurts, is that Sherman isn't worth Revis type money.

The way he talks and the way he plays will assure that he WILL push for that money. I can see it being a major problem. Soon.
It is also only a matter of time before a restructure is done. That, my pewter midgets, is going to be an issue. As usual.
But...but...but...Sherman's the best corner in the NFL...he himself said so. ;-)
The media is all over his self proclamations and antics as well. Going to be awesome watching Seattle deal with all this "youth". Lol I fully expect Pete Carroll to retire very soon. He is a spry man who has aged well. But he will run when the poop gets closer to the fan.
Again, with Revis's contract situation and it not getting restructured, when or if Lovie dumps him what is he going to get on the market? And would that mean he really wanted out of Tampa more so than the Bucs wanted to keep him? Maybe the uniforms were the final straw for him. Lol. So what will zone corner Richard Sherman get? And he has the benefit of a tremendous pass rush. Keep Revis.
