Reason we won our first Lombardi.
Pure genius football mind.
He was truly the one who blended and made the Tampa Two possible. God Bless and Rest In Peace Monte Kiffen and I want to thank you and Jon Gruden for bringing us our first Championship!! I loved your tenacity sir and will forever be grateful for what you did for Tampa Bay!!
Sad news. What a great coach.
Yeah, I was bummed all day yesterday after hearing the news.
I had the good fortune to hear Brooks tell a story or two about him. Lots of respect and love.
An average QB away from winning 4+ Super Bowls
I wasn't here in the Tampa area during those years when Kiffen was running the defense. Much respect as an opposing fan at that time. RIP Monte Kiffen. Bucs fans will always think of you when they look at your name on the ROH.
Sad news! Rip monte!
Watched the eagles nfc game from 03. Man what a team that was. Monte was leader of that amazing defense. Amazing seeing all the love from all of his players. They really loved playing for him.
My Heart will always miss this man who is a true catalyst of the Tampa Two Defense. I know its hard to believe but Heaven needed you up there so that others could respect the ground that you tilled. You were my Hero as the Buc's Defensive Coordinator.
Lynch
”“I love that man and am so indebted to him," Lynch said. “Monte had a unique enthusiasm for life, football and family. He also had a passion for coaching - and helping people like myself become the best version of themselves. He was a great listener - he listened to his players. He knew u played best when I got involved in the game early so he tried to blitz me in every first series of a game."
Thank you for the memories Mr. Monte Kiffin. Your energy, intensity and passion for defensive football seeped into the players you coached and they responded acoordingly with some HOF and Bucs greats. Thank you and RIP.
