If Lovie winds up the coach, I do believe Charles Tillman is scheduled to be a UFA.

That's a huge downgrade.

Dashon Goldson should be gone sooner than later.

Trade Penn now.2nd and 4th. Draft Matthews. trade Goldson for what i don't know.    Get me a Veteran slot/ ret. man( Ted Ginn, jacoby etc..you know obvious players who should have been already Bucs)

you are high as a kite if you think anyone offers a 2nd and a 4th for Penn. we couldn't even get a 4th for him. youd be lucky to get a 6th for him. high salary, declining play, weight issues. no freaking way

. I not offended that you think I'm high. But Jerry Jones will do it.

Goldson would be a $9M dead money hit, no cap saving.

I'd rather throw the money at Cutler or Rivers.  Revis just isn't a $16 million gamechanger.  He isn't.  CB never has been and never will be.

Yes, that's just what we need. Mediocre 32 year old QBs.

If Lovie is the hire, I think he will have to make changes to his defensive philosophies anyway. And I am sure he's aware of that. The straight up Tampa-2 doesn't really work very well in today's NFL anymore. He'd have to develop some kind of hybrid system.

Davin good as gone.  Zuttah will hopefully be moved to backup.  Nicks' career is probably over.  Goldson is wasted money but IIRC he is guaranteed so he may get another year.  Revis will stay, but I expect him to restructure either this year or next or be traded.  Maybe we can con someone into trading for him this year.  Larsen is garbage, shouldn't make the roster.  Unless we draft our LT Penn will probably get another year, but we should be looking hard for his replacement.

Revis + Tillman would be pretty sweet.

you guys crack me up...sure lets trade our best corner on the team and replace him with someone inferior. next year he is going to be a stud again. he will have a full offseason, new coach, and be super motivated to get back to form. the guy played well but he had some uncharacteristic breakdowns but i think alot of it is due to the system and having to depend on idiot safeties who dont know how to read where a receiver is going. thats what happened yesterday on one of the touchdowns. revis was playing zone and the safety ran right by the fucking receiver the wrong way. you could tell revis was pissed. i hope we find a new gm quickly and get the offseason going right away

Dom's "lets not draft OLmen, because they are too risky coming out of college" strategy has really f*cked us. 2 of our top 4 picks absolutely have to be spent on interior OLmen.

Re: GholdsonApparently this board doesn't think about the impact him and Barron hovering around has on a wide receiver or tight end considering going across the middle. I really like the two of them together and if every personal foul they commit prevents another two 15-20 yard pass plays deep, I'm all for it. I like our secondary. I just think the corners sans Revis are young and need some better coaching. Also think Bowers should stay. He's cheap and does show flashes at times. I'm not sure he can stay healthy but I'd rather keep him over DTN or pretty much any of our other defensive ends (that includes TREX arm)

Apparently this board doesn't think about the impact him and Barron hovering around has on a wide receiver or tight end considering going across the middle.

Thought about it...this theory sounds good, but was not proven in the least this year. Most of impacts that Goldson made in 2013 were negative. Not buying this intimidation theory for one millisecond.

I really like the two of them together and if every personal foul they commit prevents another two 15-20 yard pass plays deep, I'm all for it. I like our secondary. I just think the corners sans Revis are young and need some better coaching.

So you are saying that Goldson and Barron's intimidation factor alone, prevented an upwards of 16 big plays this year?....yea...Bullsh*t. Barron is an more complete safety than Goldson. He knows when and where to lay the big hits, and when and where to atleast attempt to make a play on the ball. Goldson on the other hand is a rabid dog looking for something to bite. Hopefully after 2014 we can fill a syringe full of pentobarbital, and put that rabid dog down.

Folks you're forgetting the Glazers here. Part of the reason Schiano was fired was that they expected more out of a talented roster. The glazers like the roster. They aren't going to hire a coach who says he's going to completely flip things around. There will be tweaks for sure but not as many as folks think I bet.  It's a copy cat league after all and the Eagles and Chiefs have both found success with new coaches who took the same players on a talented roster and make the playoffs

I'm more curious about the fate of some of Schiano's "pet" projects.  First and foremost is Glennon.  I'm also curious about Tim Wright.  Will the next O.C. find him to be as valuable, or will they look to upgrade the TE position?
