I'm more curious about the fate of some of Schiano's "pet" projects.  First and foremost is Glennon.  I'm also curious about Tim Wright.  Will the next O.C. find him to be as valuable, or will they look to upgrade the TE position?

Depends on who is available.  Wright isn't so good that he can't be upgraded, but he is good enough that it would have to be a really solid player to do so.

Is it starting to sink in that we need to give the OL some attention?  Seeing all the mocks Buc fans post here that don't address the OL or not until the 7th round makes me laugh.

If it's just starting to sink in... what were you watching in August and September?

I think Tim Wright stays... we have way too many holes to fill to be making a luxury pick for a top-flight TE or shelling out huge money to Graham

LOL at the "Tampa Two" doesn't work anymore comments. Bull spit. The Tampa Two is just fine if you have the right parts. You need a Sapp, a Brooks, A Lynch, A Ronde and a Simeon. As far as I can tell, the Bucs have all but the last one. Defense certainly wasn't Chicago's problem in Lovie's final season.

You need a couple first-ballot HOF'ers, a probable HOF, and a couple fringe HOF'ers?  Is that all?

maybe if you are talking about becoming  one of the ten best defenses of all time but if the goal was a more realistic top 10 in the current NFL lesser parts might work.

Nicks should go. Saves $2.1M of cap space and $7M cash.Koenan goes, saves $3.3M cap space and cash. Penn and Joseph are more complicated. I could see lowering their cap numbers by giving them guaranteed money. Penn is going to be 31 and has 2 years, $15.6M left on his deal. He's not getting that on the open market. So give him 3 years, $14M with $7M guaranteed ($2M signing bonus and his 2014 salary)Cap Numbers2014- 5.4 (old number would have been 7.7)2015- 4.4 (old number would have been 7.8)2016- 4.4 Joseph has 4 years, $27.5M left. He's not getting that either. Make it 4 years, $16M with $7M guaranteed (3.5M signing bonus and his 2014 salary)New cap numbers2014- 4.4 (old number was 6)2015- 3.9 (old number was 7)2016- 3.9 (old number was 7)2017- 3.9 (old number was 7.5)

I cant tell if some of you guys either A) play too much Madden or B) are just downright remedial.Lets cut half the team before we hire a GM, hire a HC, go through FA, draft new players, and report to camp.  SMH.

Extend Gerald McCoy. Keep Lavonte David, Darrelle Revis, Mark Barron for sure. Listen to offers for everyone else. But I wouldn't cut anyone. Bring in new pieces and have them all compete. I truly believe some players just didn't have good years. 2014 could be a rebound of sorts. Have the new guys and the old guys compete in practice and camp and put the best 53 on the roster. That's the 1 thing Schiano preached that I'm a believer in.

Tim Wright just had one of the best rookie tight end seasons ever and people want to replace him? You don't need a Jimmy Graham or Gronk type tight end. Guys like Hernandez, Winslow, and Vernon Davis have been just as successful in different ways and I see Wright as that type of player. Kids hands are unreal.
