Not one of the Tucker can give a credible answer about when in the game you pull White or Irving for him.
Speaking of giving an answer, why won't you answer my question about how Gruden handled Thomas Jones? Were Pittman and Stecker better or was Gruden just wrong?
Damn, my bad .... I thought it was already "checkmate?"
bwhahaha
JC, you guys troll like 5 year olds.
Speaking of giving an answer, why won't you answer my question about how Gruden handled Thomas Jones? Were Pittman and Stecker better or was Gruden just wrong?
It won't answer because it can't.
EXTEND a discussion about a 2024 Bucs running back alll the way back (AGAIN) to a couple decades ago . . . AFTER . . .. AFTER watching you guys go for a full cycle of despair that began with "Thomas Jones" and went to "Emmitt Smith" and to the "Iced" conspiracy and to "White fumbled" and to "on field = TD" and then to "Checkmate" and "WELL" to "YPC" and now all the way back to Thomas Jones AGAIN?
Extend THAT conversation? WITH YOU GUYS?
I mean, is there really even a CHOICE . . . for any rational human being?
:-)

Yeah and while we're at it let's ask Noah why he let the lions on the ark first.

The upgrade of going from Hainsey to Barton (even as a rookie) has helped, and the massive leap from Year 1 to Year 2 for right guard Cody Mauch has been another factor. All around, the running lanes are there far more often for Tampa Bay’s running backs than they have been in recent years.
That has helped Rachaad White, who is in his second season as the team’s starting running back. His carries are down from where they were at this point last season, largely due to the emergence of rookie Bucky Irving and the fact that he missed a game in October. White did go on to put up a blazing-hot finish to the 2023 season and fell just shy of the 1,000-yard mark. But through 10 games of last year’s schedule, he was averaging 3.3 yards per carry. Right now, his average is up to 3.8 yards per carry.
But even though White is running more efficiently, the biggest source of improvement for the Bucs’ rushing attack has been the addition of Irving, a fourth-round draft pick out of Oregon.
Through the first 10 weeks of the season, Irving is Tampa Bay’s leading rusher. He has 492 yards and four touchdowns on 92 carries, and he has a 5.1-yard average thus far. Like White, he has benefitted from Coen’s run schemes and the lanes that the offensive line has been creating. But Irving is shiftier and can break tackles as well as anyone. He’s a creator, with 30 missed tackles forced after a rush (per PFF). That’s the 10th-highest mark of any running back in the league.
PFF
Tampa Bay may be incredibly shorthanded at wide receiver, but its running back room has been spectacular in Liam Coen’s first year as offensive coordinator. All three of Sean Tucker, Bucky Irving and Rachaad White have earned overall grades of 72.6 or better, with Tucker and Irving eclipsing an 80.0 mark. The Bucs have a legit three-headed monster at RB in 2024 after White posted only a 67.5 overall grade last season

Yes, Gruden was wrong about Thomas Jones. Coaches can be wrong about players. But what about Maurice Stovall, Luke McCown, Davin Joseph, Jeremy Trueblood, Josh Freeman, Kevin Pamphile, Adam Humphries, Scotty Miller, and any number of other JC All Stars? You equally gushed about all of these players, but you weren't right about any of them.
Again, I like Tucker well enough, but your hyperbole is getting the best of you.
One at a time.
Stovall- When given the chance as the #2 WR he produced like a mid-low #2 WR. I wanted to see him continue in that role, instead the Bucs flushed pick #39 down the toilet with Arrelious Benn. I was against the Benn pick because he lacked seperation in college and wanted to see Stovall get more of an opportunity. Some how I get this thrown back in my face when Benn was the real disaster.
McCown- In his 3 starts in 2007 he had a 100.3 rating with some explosive runs. In 2008 the Bucs had a running game, defense and great special teams. They were wasting the season by going back and forth between Garcia and Griese. With an upgrade at QB they would have been in position for the #1 seed that year. Garcia and Griese were dead ends, McCown was a talented young player that should have played over them. People blame the defensive collapse but they played great in Atlanta and Griese put up 7 points in 5 quarters. There was a 17 game stretch from 2008-2009 when the Bucs went 1-16 with Griese, Garcia, Leftwich, Johnson and rookie Freeman but I'm the idiot for saying McCown should have gotten a chance here.
Joseph- Good player, devastating injury.
Trueblood- I liked the Trueblood for the same reason people like Jensen. Except we weren't paying him a fortune.
Freeman- good before the off-field issues, which I wasn't aware of.
Pamphile- Even the Bucs had him graded as their best OL in 2016. Developed a medical issue of some sorts that derailed his career.
Humphries- Great slot WR for us. Would have been fun if he got to play with Brady. Shouldn't have signed with Tennessee as they were running a power run offense at the time.
Miller- This again. He should have been on the field over Ko Kieft.
If you want to talk JC All-Stars then talk about I'm the only one saying we needed to trade up for JJ Watt because he was going to the Hall of Fame and I had an UDFA grade on Trent Richardson when everyone was crying for him.

You trying to put lipstick on each one of those pigs isn't really helping your case.

Yes, you were high on Watt. The trade up stuff has always been nonsense, but you were high on Watt. I was early on Micah Parsons, but I'm not flailing about because the team didn't trade up for him, as that's a ridiculous stance to have.
But if you want to shift the discussion from Buccaneers you've overhyped to prospects you've overhyped, I'm game. But I don't think you want to walk down that path either.

Bucs went 1-16 with 5 different QBs other than McCown from the end of 2008 and the beginning of 2009. That's the end of the McCown talk.

For most people, the end of the McCown talk was when he couldn't beat out the corpses of Jeff Garcia/Brian Griese and didn't throw a TD pass in the NFL after the 2007 season. And then there is you, who is still opining for his talents.
I am a fan of White but is it possible he slides down the chart? Hard to picture him consistently running with the approach we see so far from Irving and Tucker.
Not "sliding down the chart" and no dancing from White - something he improved upon last season unbeknownst to your dumbass.
You're 0/2 here, keeping your lifetime average at .000.
Check in after Week 1: Rachaad White is the starting RB.
Check in after Week 2: Rachaad White is the starting RB.
Check in after Week 3: Rachaad White is the starting RB.
Check in after Week 4: Rachaad White is the starting RB.
Check in after Week 5: Rachaad White is the starting RB.
Check in after Week 6: Rachaad White - Inactive w/Injury. Still #1 on the Depth Chart.
Check in after Week 7: Rachaad White is the starting RB.
I can keep this up, or you can man up and admit you were wrong about "sliding down the chart," White's place on the depth chart was secure in the preseason, and you were unaware that White stopped the dancing last season. That's all it will take, but I'm guessing I'll be making a similar post this time next week.
Check in after Week 8: Rachaad White is the starting RB.
I figured I would be posting this again. Absolutely no shame.
Check in after Week 9: Rachaad White is the starting RB.
Shameless ignoramus.
Check in after Week 10: Rachaad White is the starting RB.
Check in after Week 11: Rachaad White is the starting RB.

he specifically mentioned EARLIER. They had him in the mop up role during a losing streak
wonder whose snaps he takes.

Well my FF team so hell nah. I have both Bucky and White...
Who would you start? I'm leaning toward Bucky.
