That is PRs opinion. I think White will be fine as a RB long term.  Plus, he isn't going to be asked to be a bell cow back because that is what PR staff is obsessed with.

Irving proved he can run between the tackles and grind so it is going to be a tandem between White and Irving and that is fine. Because the star of the offense is the passing game.  Just need NFL average running game to make the elite passing offense hum.

I am a White fan but it’s obvious (for now) that he did not quiet the criticism of one aspect of his game. It’s fair criticism too and at least in this game it stands out because there’s another RB running for a 7 yd average.

this is PR

White was outshined by rookie Bucky Irving, who broke off a 32-yard run in the fourth quarter, eliciting “Bucky” chants from the Tampa Bay faithful.

As White looks to hold his grasp on being the No. 1 running back, 15 carries for 31 yards won’t help.“

Agreed.

Look forward to seeing the A22 regarding the run game.

Looked like Bucky had SUPERIOR run blocking on his attempts vs. White.

And, I think part of that was simply situational and where we were at in the game.

I mean, the one where he got 50% of his yardage on one carry, he had a hole the size of I-95 to run through (along with a LB who bit on pursuit).

Yup. There are people who understand and can analyze the game, and then there are people who cannot.

Check in after Week 1: Rachaad White is the starting RB.

One thing is for sure.

RG is a MASSIVE liability right now. If Mauch continues to play like this, then may as well give Klein a look.

Honestly, it couldn't be much worse.

Are people here still trying to say Bucky isn't good?

Like I said when we drafted him, we got a great back. He will complement White well.

He's not a workhorse and he doesn't have amazing break away speed, but let's gonna be good for us... Really good.

{Insert snide Kyle Trask comment}

uh… keep your Irving love to yourself.

Lol

anyone who can analyze football - like Biggs- knows the Bucs are all in on White!

no suggesting Irving might cut into Whites reps!

He's def cutting into his reps. We already saw it.

And I have White on two FF teams and like him a lot... But White still struggles at times to read and break away.

Bucky is shifty/quick and decisive when he runs. He'll get run down for sure but he we give a different gear under 15 yards that White.

White is so elite is the dump off/screen game tho

Funny watching you cry about excessive trolling all offseason, only to watch you revert back into the same drunken, string-posting asshole you've always been.

Bowles makes positive comments about Bucky, and you run around posting away (while not thinking about Biggs, while flicking the floor lamp on and off). Yet, when the freaking offensive coordinator makes multiple comments about it being Rachaad's show, it simply gets ignored by you.

Fucking clown...

Not a single person saying it or even insinuating it.

Last year showed we needed a solid RB2, and for all the positives Chase brought, he simply couldn't stay healthy.

Bucky is a nice change of pace back. Has good vision and decisiveness. Rachaad is a superior receiver and superior at pass pro, but not quite as good as pure runner.

On the surface (and as many people pointed out on Twitter), it appears that Bucky had some better opportunities regarding running lanes and holes being opened.

But, all in all, gotta love what he brings to the table. Great compliment back to White.

Actually kind of surprised we didn't see Tucker considering the lead we had.

DH, I asked a completely reasonable question: is it possible that White slides some given his inefficiency

the rest is 100% you and Biggs

I am a fan of White but is it possible he slides down the chart? Hard to picture him consistently running with the approach we see so far from Irving and Tucker

Super offensive question lol
