Bucs used a 1st overall pick to acquire Jameis Winston. He was the starter for 5 years. Led the league in yards last season while setting many Bucs records along the way. Bucs paid him 20+ million a year. Provided him zero elite runnings backs to lean on. Provided him one of the worse OL in the NFL, yet give him 100% of the blame when the offense turns the ball over to a defense that only has to respect the pass.
The Bucs sign a 43 year old shiny toy at QB (who is the GOAT) for a couple years, while the Saints sign the young, former #1 overall to a 1M contract to backup their GOAT.
In 2 years, when both the Bucs and the Saints are without Brady and Brees.. it wilL be the Saints with the best situation at QB (With first dibs on Jameis) while the Bucs start from ground zero again.
