I'm willing to admit being wrong when I'm wrong unlike most people on this board. Back to your comments, wouldn't you say gay people are ridiculed because of it? Are they not mocked and bullied for it? Sure things are getting better and sure there will always be people who hate them, but there are people who struggle to come out. Doing something like he did would encourage others do accept who they are and know it's okay. He's probably not the first and probably won't be the last. If you think this won't change at least something then I don't know what to tell you. Would it change anything right away or be a huge impact? We won't know until it does happen if he does anything. I am of the belief that it shouldn't matter what sexual orientation you are in regards to sports? Does that entitle you to some sort of special attention because you are gay? This reminds me so much of the argument surrounding allowing female reporters in the locker room. It's sad that all of the resulting sexual harassment suits have bankrupted the league.
