Megatron 6' 5"Fitz 6' 3"Green 6' 4"Jones 6' 3"He compres to Pierre Garcon physically who is 6' 212 pounds. Ran a 4.42 40.He played at a small school and had many of the same question marks Watkins has. That is his ceiling. If he does everything right you will get a Pierre Garcon with pick no.7 overall.Pierre Garcon was a 6th round pick......

He also compares to Jerry Rice who was 6'2" 200 pounds. I can do it too.

Torry Holt 6-0 190Isaac Bruce 6-0 188Better comparisons

I agree with both of you.As long as he has a Hall of Fame QB throwing to him he could have a great career.Which makes him a great fit in NE GB DEN or NO.

Isaac Bruce led the league in receiving yardage in 1996 when Tony Banks was the QB. Try again.

You are going to use a 1996 stat to tell me that we should draft a 6' 1" WR in 2014?Find the midget!

We already have 2 receivers who can go up and get the ball. We need someone who can turn a 5 yard pass into a 70 yard TD. Hopefully Doug Martin can turn into that player too, but we need a receiver to do it as well.

Sayeth the man who referred to Hall of Fame QBs, one of whom was drafted in 1979.

Lets play find the midget. Top 10 receiving TDs last year.Graham 6' 7"Demarius Thomas 6'3"Vernon Davis 6' 3"Dez Bryant 6' 2"Brandon Marshall 6' 4"Megatron 6' 5"Julius Thomas 6' 5" Decker 6' 3"Green 6' 4"Larry Fitz 6' 3"There are plenty of midgets as you move DOWN the list out of the top 10.

He's a lot closer in height to many of those guys than he is the 5'8" Austin you seemed to think was a reasonable comparison.

Not to mention the fact you listed 3 TE's as well.

Wow, didn't know someone could fail in their thread so much. Op is arguing that 2-3 inches is the deciding factor on this kid.....no seriously, that's his argument. He's 2-3 inches shorter than the taller wrs in the nfl. His vertical is 2-3 inches shorter than it should be.GTFO bro. You might not like the kid, but a couple inches on combine numbers doesn't change anything. What's even more embarrassing, you had to pull td numbers to back up his size argument. Pull up stats like yards or yac, and you'll find all kinds of wrs 6'2" or less. No one is drafting Watkins to be jump ball outside wr. They are picking him to run routes and use his speed and acceleration in space.Just ignore desean Jackson, Antonio brown, and the countless others that all posted near or over 1000 yards with good yac numbers. Guys like Wes welker have no place in the nfl. Never mind guys like jerry rice who were 6'1-6'2 with no where near the wheels of Watkins. There really aren't too many clowns making ridiculous claims like this, thanks for being original.

That has been going on forever. Lovie tried to plug in Devin Hester at WR in CHI and it was a disaster. It wasnt until they drafted Alshon Jeffery a 6' 3" WR who specializes in high pointing the ball that their offense became elite. All the Rams needed was speed so they drafted Austin early last year in the first round and Tim Wright an UDFA who id 6' 4" and ran a 4.65 40 had more production.

Hester's arguably an even worse comparison to Watkins than Austin.  And Austin is a nonsensical comparison too.  I have no idea why you keep trying to make it.

PLAYER TEAM 1 Josh Gordon, WR CLE 6'3"2 Antonio Brown, WR PIT 5' 10"3 Calvin Johnson, WR DET 6' 5"4 Demaryius Thomas, WR DEN 6' 3"5 A.J. Green, WR CIN 6' 4" 6 Alshon Jeffery, WR CHI 6' 3"7 Andre Johnson, WR HOU 6' 3"8 Pierre Garcon, WR WSH  6'9 DeSean Jackson, WR PHI 5' 10"10 Jordy Nelson, WR GB 6' 3"Right. Two guys in the top 10. When you figure that there are a whole lot more WRs under 6' 3" coming into the league then there are over 6' 3" those numbers are even more indicative of my theory about small WRs.Next 5. 11 Brandon Marshall, WR CHI 6' 5"12 Eric Decker, WR DEN 6' 3"13 Dez Bryant, WR DAL 6' 2"14 Vincent Jackson, WR TB 6' 5"15 Jimmy Graham, TE NO 6' 7"The only stat you are going to find with midgets at the top are total receptions. These are your Wes Welker types. Not exactly no.7 overall type of talent. These guys are nowhere to be found on the total TD or total yards list. These are your dink and dunk guys. Again, not exactly no.7 overall material. And remember Welker did absolutely nothing in the NFL until he was on Tom Brady and Peyton Manning's teams. Which fits my theory perfectly. If Sammy Watkins goes to a team with an elite QB he will do well. And yes I do include the TEs. They are on the list of top receivers. Get a clue, bro. The game is changing. Either figure it out, or get left behind.
