It's tough to see him refer to the bucs as "we" over and over again. Don't think it's set in that he's gone yet. Seems to be very surprised

Any summaries would be great, for those of us stuck at work

He didn't know he was getting fired this morning, went through the normal post season process with the players when he found out the news, he will lean on his wife and family for his next steps. Says he's proud of his players and the way they handled this year, proud of the fans for sticking through a rough season, says they did good on defense (until the last game) and on offense too many injuries which was "unfortunate"

typical coach speak how he takes responsibility for not getting it done here and how proud he is of his staff and players for not giving up in the face of adversity.

Basically he went to work as per usual this morning and then got called to Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum's office and got fired. Sounded a bit blindsided.

Yep pretty much, and he made sure to state how he felt about losing some of his players to IR early on in the year and how it affected the team... which is fine IMO. Remember before he gave us coach speak on the issue prior to his firing.

Rap thinks the Bucs are the 2014 KC Chiefs with the right coach.

"We just didn't win enough games" pretty much sums it up

The guy looked shell shocked and trying to hold a lot of emotion in.One thing I didn't like and is a perfect example of why he's gone was when he basically blamed injuries on offense as being the reason the season was a bust, acting like the scheme was actually working when people were healthy. He seems delusional that his forcing square pegs into round holes way was going to work.

For a guy that constantly preaches accountability, he was constantly spewing excuses, especially the injuries

Again...he sounds great on non-game days.  But he's not a good coach.  Sounds great, coaches bad.

Always feel bad for the fired coaches. I like Schiano and as a man, it's hard not to feel for him. The NFL may be his thing in the future, but he has some lessons to learn in how to treat players and how to adjust on gameday. I'd like to see him on the middle ground role of somewhere between an NFL team and a Rutgers. I'd like to see what he can do at a bigger college that basically recruits for itself. Him at Penn State or any other Big 10 school would be interesting.Wish him luck

I hope for Schiano's future this humbles him a bit and teaches him that sometimes you HAVE to adjust to your players talent.  I still feel his biggest downfall and why he was so brash when he came in was that he never felt the sting of a pink slip (at a major HC/Coordinator level).  Essentially he felt his was the right way and that everyone had to adjust to him because he was never really proven wrong at Rutgers.  While his schemes might have worked with the right mix of players, in the pro's you'll never get that right mix ...you have to adjust here and there.  While he may have lightened up on a personal level he never really adjusted his schemes to the talent he had.  For his own good this might have been the best thing to happen to him.  Good luck to him (and Dom) but now its time for the Bucs to move on and hopefully updward.
