Just putting this out there in case this train derails all the way to fire everyone-ville.
He runs a very new school Inside Zone, Gap offense where you've got all kinds of unique pulls (he'll pull the back-side OG like normal, but also the front-side OG and OT) along with pre-snap misdirection. These are the kind of things that you see influencing the modern NFL run schemes (Eagles, Bears, et al).
My guess is he would very likely have success as a head coach at the next level (great pedigree, great football mind, young). His coaching tree stems from Kelly/Helfrich, so the passing game is surely to be embedded with the kind of 4 vert concepts that Jameis is familiar with (from this offense).
That is my early vote if things go Antarctica-type South.
And if it does, I don't want to see Licht here. Tons and tons of FA busts or not making moves that trickle downstream (eg not signing Alex Mack a few years ago leading to signing Jensen for a LOT more money now...and Jensen playing terribly through 4 games), a boatload of failed 2nd round picks, a 2016 train-wreck of a draft, and through 4 games our 2018 draft includes a 1st round DT that has had no impact, a 2nd round RB that has had no impact, a 2nd round Nickel CB that absolutely does not possess the athleticism to cover NFL-level talent, a 3rd round OG that has had no impact.
It could definitely be worse, but great in UDFAs, completely swingey and unpredictable in the draft (2016 debacle followed by 2017...with OJ somehow falling in our lap), and terrible in FA is probably not sufficient (given his potential record).
