Sorry this report came out a little late, there were a lot of prospects in this game. Just wanted to clear something up; When I say "potential" it means I think they could turn out like that. When I say "Future" I think its pretty much guaranteed. When I say "nothing" it means that they'll never get a shot in the NFL.NORTH CAROLINA:Bryn Renner, QB, 6"3, 228Ibs:The only positive of Renner's game was that he throws the ball with a high velocity. He doesn't have a great arm, he is very inaccurate is all areas of the fields to a certain point. He also see the occasional ghost while he is scanning down the field. It leads to even more inaccurate throws. As soon as a real rusher enters his vision he panics, run backwards and launches up a very irresponsible pass. Don't expect anything from Renner in the future. His NFL future will be a lot like Kellen Moore's.Projections: UDFA, Never Plays, 48 GradeEric Ebron, TE, 6"4, 250Ibs:Ebron is a very good athlete with exceptional hands. He is the center of North Carolina's offence. It all relies on him. Some scouts claim that Ebron doesn't block at all but that is false. He is a pass-catching TE and North Carolina's offence sends him down-field almost every play. He is rarely asked to block, when he is, he does in fact block as well. He may not be a fantastic blocker but that can be worked on. Ebron has always been the face of a team and with that he has gotten a bit too full of himself. That is the only way I see this kid being a bust.Projections: Top-15, Future Pro Bowl TE, 88 GradeJames Hurst, OT, 6"5, 296Ibs:Hurst has exceptional size and a large frame. He is extremely strong and has great body control to go along with it. He slowed down Jadeveon Clowney and Chaz Sutton but they couldn't be stopped. Clowney beat him a few times with a quick first step and swim move. That brings me to my next point, he has slow feet. He had trouble keeping up with blitzes and rushes to the outside. He even got called for a hold at one point. He does counter-act the slow feet with excellent balance though. He could end up being a starting tackle in the NFL but most likely on the right side.Projection: 2nd Round, Future Starting RT, 82 GradeRussell Bodine, C/G, 6"3, 310Ibs:Bodine is a very high effort O-Lineman. He was down the field on running plays and didn't give up on pass-plays until the QB threw the ball. He has a high potential but his skill-set won't keep up with NFL D-Lineman on a weekly basis. He has good potential to be a solid depth inner OL with the potential to start after being developed. He reminds me of a mix between Jamon Meredith and Ted Larsen. Just the depth aspect of it.Projections: 5th Round, Future Depth Inner G/C, 68 GradeKareem Martin, DE, 6"6, 272Ibs:Kareem is another guy who plays the entire play/ He consistently beat his individual matchup but had trouble when South Carolina doubled him. He couldn't be two guys but thats not what he's going to have to o in the NFL. He has a slow first step which gives the OL an advantage when blocking him. He should end up being a starting DE in the NFL but no Pro Bowls or All-Pro Selections are in this kids future.Projections: 2nd Round, Potential Starting LDE, 82 GradeTim Jackson, DT, 6"4, 283Ibs:The pleasant surprise of this game. Jackson is projected to go in the later rounds or even un-drafted but I thought he was more of a 4th Round type of player. He plays with the highest motor on the field and consistently gets off the OL in the running game. He had trouble rushing the passer but the physique is in place. If a team provides him with more pass-rushing moves and develops his technique they will be in for a very good player. Potential gem.Projections: 4th Round, Potential Starting DT, 72 GradeJabari Price, CB, 5"11, 200Ibs:Price is a solid tackler and defends the running game and screens well. The downside is Price very rarely uses his hands in coverage. He isn't physical at all and seems very mellow in coverage. He brings no intensity and was consistently beat in coverage. Price has some good skills but unless a team gives him a chance and lights a fire under his a** he isn't going anywhere.Projections: UDFA, Potential 5th or 6th CB, 61 Grade Tre Boston, FS, 6"0, 204Ibs:Another pleasant surprise, Boston was all over the field in this game and is the complete opposite of Jabari Price intensity wise. He plays with passion and it shows in his tackling. He is good against the run but a little weaker against the pass. Which is odd considering he plays FS. Boston can be a starter in the NFL but his covering skills aren't up-to-par with the NFL so I see this kid fitting in as a SS not FS.Projections: 4th Round, Potential SS, 77 GradeSOUTH CAROLINA:Connor Shaw, QB, 6"0, 206Ibs:Shaw has a good arm and is surprisingly accurate down the field but the strengths stop there. He is too small to play QB in the NFL, especially the way he plays the position. He almost always chooses to scramble over staying in the pocket, that's his instinct. He has some arm talent but it would take a lot of coaching to make that work.Projections: 6th Round, Development QB, 64 GradeBruce Ellington, WR, 5"9, 197Ibs:Ellington is very short but he plays a tad bigger. He has a solid vertical and plays aggressively. He has a high-motor and breaks a lot of tackles because of it. He wasn't used as much as I wanted to see but I think I got a good read on him. He can be a very good slot receiver. He is a lot like Wes Welker, he is a little more inconsistent hands-wise but plays with more speed and power.Projections: 3rd Round, Future Slot WR, 79 GradeRonald Patrick, OG, 6"2, 315Ibs:The gem of South Carolina. Patrick wasn't even supposed to be drafted in 2014 but I see a good player. Patrick was good in run support, he is clearly very strong and was extremely hard to disengage as a DL. He barely made mistakes against a very good OL and stopped some good players in Tim Jackson and Kareem Martin. Patrick is a depth OG with a lot of potential. He could become a starter.Projections: 6th Round, Depth OG With Potential, 68 GradeJadeveon Clowney, DE, 6"5, 266Ibs:Everyone knows Jadeveon Clowney, he has the best size possible for a DE and has the most incredible burst possible. The only downside is he had to pull himself out of a few plays because he ran out of gas. Also, he looks a lot smaller on tape then he actually is. Clowney has all the tools to be the most incredible DL since Lawrence Taylor but its all on him to make that happen.Projections: Top-5, Future DE All-Pro, 96 GradeChaz Sutton, DE, 6"4, 263Ibs:Sutton was good off the snap, and is a very agressive player. He is a good tackler but sometimes gets a little bit too agressive as he was called for a face mask penalty. In my opinion, it was just a bad call but thought it should be noted. Sutton benefits from the double team Clowney draws but he can be a solid DE in the NFL, himself.Projections: 4th Round, Rotational DE, 72 GradeKelcy Quarles, DT, 6"4, 297Ibs:I was very disappointed with Quarles as he either didn't show up on tape or he just didn't play much. Either way I was expecting him to play at least better then Sutton but that wasn't the case. Quarles has obvious potential but I wouldn't count on him to start.Projections: 4th Round, Potential Starting DT, 70 GradeVictor Hampton, CB, 5"9, 197Ibs:Hampton returns kicks and punts for the Gamecocks but he was injured early in the game because of it. On the few snaps I watched him play he was a hard hitter and solid in coverage. No mistakes but didn't make any plays he shouldn't have made.Projections: 5th Round, Potential 4th or 5th CB, 68 GradeJimmy Legree, CB, 5"11, 194Ibs:Him and Jabari Price are almost identical players. The only difference was that Legree was worse in coverage. Like Price he does have some talent but don't count on it to show. Projections: UDFA, Potential 6th CB, 56 GradeHope you guys enjoyed that report. Next up is Utah State vs Utah. Feel free to comment on these prospects or any opinions you have on this thread. All feedback is much appreciated. Thanks.
