Based on what I have read Martin was as much a participant as a "victim" and threw Incognito under the bus when he whatever problems he had. Incognito is an ass by all accounts, but purely on what I have seen he would feel rightly slighted if Goodell lays the hammer down.
Did you read the report ? I don't know anyone who came to that conclusion after reading it.
Did you read the texts? Might want to look at some of the evidence yourself instead of having conclusions handed to you.

which explains why Incongnito and Pouncey referred to Martin as a "snitch" who deserved "stitches" and which also explains why Incognito asked Pouncey and others to destroy a book maintained by Incognito. Seems like Incognito knww he was wrong, even if you don't agree

Like this text between two guys who clearly think they are innocent:Incognito: F–k Jmart That f—t is never backPouncey: Bro I said the same thing I can’t even look at him the same he’s a **CENSORED**Incognito: My agent just said if we held mandatory strip club meetings Jmart is f–king ratting on everyonePouncey: Lol wow are you serious he is a f–k boyPouncey: He’s not welcome back bro I can’t be around that f–king guyIncognito: F–k that guy if Ur not with s Ur against usPouncey: No question bro he’s a coward for snitchingIncognito: Snitches get stiches Blood in blood out F–king guyPouncey: He’s dead to meWhat's a "snitch" and is that series of text's "retaliation"? if so, for what . . . if they did nothing wrong? How about this from Incognito, about another player and his kangaroo court fine book:"Nate is on the verge of killing us all." When asked to elaborate, Incognito explained: "Since we cut [another player] we have been non stop on nate. Even turner is in on it. He looks like he's about to cry 24/7."What does "on it" and "on nate" mean?Or this one from Incognito to TWO different players:"They're going to suspend me. Please destroy the fine book first thing in the morning." why destroy the book if they are not doing something wrong?I guess its possible some reach different conclusions reading that .. although I doubt Incognito was smart enough to mean it this way, the word "snitch" sometimes implies and insider/participant turning n the rest of the conspiracy. but its pretty clear that Incognito thought his actions were wrong . . . . I don't see martin contemporaneously texting anyone to destroy evidence etc. Maybe I miss that though, who knows?
Her name is Jen Sterger...originally part of the FSU Cowgirl crew. (She looked better in garnet and gold anyways)Mr. Sharpe should remember who some of his teammates were before spouting off against Incognito. Im not a fan of Richie, but to be banned for harassment and not dog fighting, vehicular manslaughter, etc is ridiculous to even suggest.

that's a critique of the league, and probably a fair one, but as the saying goes "two wrongs . . .

Yep, if Roger wants to clean up the league that is fine by me but either go the full 10 or dont pretend.

That's why he gets paid $44 million . . . It certainly does not help Incognito and Pouncey that "bullying" is a topic of discussion in the country right now.

It doesnt...but at the same time I dont think most adults fully understand what is going on. Most hear the term "bullying" and think about what happened to them growing up and they roll their eyes. With the social media boom...its become a much bigger problem with kids. However, I dont consider kids getting bullied and a professional football player getting bullied to be in the same category. Im sure this kind of stuff goes on in most locker rooms...maybe not to the extent, but then again most NFL players are not as soft as Martin appears to be. What happened in Miami is more the result of a "perfect storm" of variables all being put together.
If you want to see Martin's involvement, wouldn't it make sense to look at Martin's texts?

that may be the case, but blaming the victim is also common. For what its worth, I don't think of it as "bullying" as much as a workplace issue, similar to Bountygate. I also agree about behavior in locker rooms, but in my experience its pretty obvious to those involved whether the comments/actions are "good natured" or not "good natured" and in this instance it seems pretty clear that Incognito did not think his actions "good natured" or else he wouldn't have been destroying evidence etc.

I agree that its usually pretty easy to tell what is "good natured" vs "ill intentions" but at the same time, having played lower level college ball and seen the office environment for the last 10 years...there is always going to be this kind of stuff in both. What is more difficult to see is the line between someone who doesnt like you giving you a hard time and someone who doesnt like you going over the line. I think this story would be entirely different if Martin had just manned the F**K up. A room full of alpha males dont handle a passive person very well. Throw an accountant into a room full of sales guys and see what happens.

The part in bold may be true, but Martin's "weakness" does not excuse Incognito's actions. the SOURCE of the problem is Incognito, not Martin. However one characterizes Incognito's actions, if he does not act FIRST then Martin never has anything to "man up" against. Again, there is a reason that Incognitio was trying to destroy evidence etc.

Completely agree. Just hard to know how typical this is.
He will get suspended, and then no team is going to be looking to bring him into their locker room so for the most part he is done.
