VJax has been worth every penny we paid him.
I think that is debatable. He has the 6th highest cap hit of WRs in 2014. I think he deserves that money after the way he has played in 2012 and 2013. Over the last two years he has had 150 receptions for 2608 yards and 15 TDs. For comparison...Fitzgerald makes $6M more per year and has had 153 rec. for 1752 yards and 14 TDs.Guys like Harvin and Mike Wallace make more and are nowhere near the level of VJax. Desean Jackson makes more too and has been no where near as productive. Andre Johnson's cap hit is almost identical, and while their yardage in similar, Johnson has only caught 11 TDs over the last three seasons and is two years older.
I lie, you lie.....those #s don't lie!!
Jackson isn't a problem. But when you are 32nd ranked offense you have to be open to trade offers to bring in younger legs. As for Martin his contract is up in 2015, so the Bucs have to make a choice with him at some point. But if a team wants a 2nd rounder for him that would be tempting (not a guarantee good deal) but something to consider.
Doug is a top 5 RB in this league and his salary is 34th in the league among other RBs.....this idea is so retarded it's hard to comprehend that people are seriously debating it. He'll be here next year and again in 2015. If he looks like he did in 2012 during those two years then he will get a huge long term deal. That is really all that needs to be said on Doug Martin.

Yeah and that latter thing is the problem, why in the name of heaven and hell would you ever pay big money to an RB? The trade value of Martin is both the player and also NOT being dumb enough to lay down long green on an RB. Let some other chump pay him $10m per year. Morons.
Well when the time comes for that, it will be a separate debate....but right now he is very good and very cheap.

Well you can argue how good he is. Top 5 with his sub 4 YPC average this year? Really? I don't think so. Even 2012 he wasn't spectacular as much as he got fed the ball a ton.
He played six games and managed to average over 4 yards per carry in 4 of them. He also managed a 150 yard outing vs the Saints. He did this on a garbage offense against defenses that were making him their #1 priority. Lol. No idea why a Bucs fan would try to belittle one our few special players.

He had the worst YPC of any of our backs who had the same problems. Don't sell me that . He's not awful, hes an Arab it is hard to be awful and almost impossible to be special. His biggest value is to anyone who hasn't figured that fact out.
Look at the blocking in the Cardinals game, and then look at the blocking in the Dolphins game where Rainey went off.

this is the confusing part...hes a top 5 rb with a low salary - and no trade value?i think he will be here for a while, but i dont see why it bothers some to debate what a trade would bring. i certainly dont think its retarded to trade a RB for a high pick.
The TR trade will make teams think twice about giving up a high pick for a RB who already has a full season or more on the tires.
VJax has been worth every penny we paid him.
No he hasn't

You're goddamn right he has.

lol what? Trent Richardson isn't bad because he's worn down, he's bad because he has no kind of vision.
