Some men can't understand that not everyone handles insults and hazing with the same sticks and stones attitude-which really just means repress, internalize, and dish out to others. It's wrong, and the people who were in the best position to stop it were the coach and Incognito. They got the story thrown out in the national media, and guess what? They still tried to manipulate Martin.This could be happening to kids in school to an adult in any workplace. It could be a story from one the Red Board posters' childhood. It ends up with emotionally broken people, not people who somehow grow stronger or more manly.

Yeah, the NFL shouldn't be any tougher than high school was. We want you to play a violent sport where you will try to intimidate and dominate your opponent, but we want you to be sensitive to his feelings while you do it.
