first off some great games this weekend. some things to take into next season1) great defenses will keep even the best qbs in check even on the road.  aaron rodgers definitely felt the pressure and they limited GB big plays and running game-if we can get some good solid veteran defensive ends...allen, peppers , hardy , johnson , bennett.....any of these guys ...we will instantly be a much better defense...add in some draft and good coaching and i think we can be elite.2) a mobile qb is a big plus when facing pressure and pass rush who doesnt do their job and play contain.  how many times did kaepernick do this to us this season and the end of the game that cb completely blew his contain and it cost them the game.  we need someone who can extend plays but has the arm too3) when you have a good balance running and passing the ball you can keep the other team off the field and limit even the best offense......now weather had alot to do with todays games but isnt it crazy how both home teams lost today? and the teams split on yesterdays game. 3-1 in terms of away vs home.  4)mike glennon is not anywhere close to being a andrew luck or elite qb....he makes some nice passes but he is not the guy who can come back from a 28 pt deficit....michael jordan style as some ppl put it and win. he may be serviceable but he is not gonna be the guy who takes over a game.  i think we need a big time qb who can fit this mold. its hard watching the teams you hate in the playoffs, i hate any nfc south team....i just wanted drew brees to get his teeth knocked in. the guy just rubs me as a cry baby and ever since the clayborn hit at home and the brooks personal foul comment i hate him even more. heres hoping to them getting killed up in seattle and san fran beating up the panthers.

Turnovers are the great equalizer and the team that makes them usually has little chance to win. Lovie stresses taking the ball away.

I agree with most of your statement, I agree that a great D will keep even the best QB's in check. Kapernick would not have done that against a great D.As for the mobile QB, can I politely remind you that Flacco beat him in the SB? I think fancy schtuff wins regular season games, but a great scheme, a great D and coach still wins the playoffs. I'm not saying Glennon is the man, but I AM saying he doesn't have the physical limitations to keep him from being the man. Peyton or Brady anyone?

Three or four plays either made or not can mean he difference between winning and losing.

No doubt....and that was evident in 3 of the 4 games.

You can't be putting Glennon in the same category as Peyton or Brady! Come on be real, put down the get high! The BIG difference in those two and Glennon is that, everything is quick in their offenses. They throw quickly and not that they run any better than Glennon (which is terrible to say), but they don't crumble under pressure and are willing to take a hit to deliver the ball. They are also clutch under pressure usually and can bring their teams back from deficits. Now if Glennon can show some of this next year and improve, he has a chance to be like them one day. As of now, he is not the Franchise QB of this team!

Get real? Where did I say he WAS the franchise QB of this team? Where did I say he was equal to Peyton or Manning? Over react much? I'm just answering to all the people who think you have to have a scrambling QB. I personally think they lose more than they win when the s**t gets real against tough D's in the playoffs. I don't think we've seen enough of Glennon in a good system to make an intelligent decision. I know he seems to fit Tedford's mold. But I personally think the trend towards scrambling QB's is a bad choice, they're more exciting to watch, but when it gets to playoff time I'll take a Brady everytime. I'll trust Lovie to make the decision, as I don't have much of a choice. I won't be immediately disappointed either way.

Glennon needs to improve and I have stated where he needs it. When you say "Peyton or Brady anyone?" in the same discussion as Glennon, I take it as a comparison and I think anyone would.
