How many will abandon ship? As a reminder, this would be the second, completely different coaching staff to go with him. Personally, I don't give a crap who is the QB, as long as they lead us to the promised land. I have allegiances only to those who make the team better. However, it will be interesting to see the reactions, regardless of the direction the new staff takes, considering all of the lines in the sand that have been drawn.
Really if he rolls with Glennon that gives me a lot of faith that a non Rutgers set of eyes looked at him and saw something positive.
Would have to trust their judgement and hope we don't pass on a QB that becomes great.
Whose drawing lines in the sand? We are just stating our opinions on a message board which I believe is what these things are for. I think it will probably end up being a mistake but they will have to live with it. Same as us fans.
If he's the qb next year I'll support him and hope he rocks it. I would perfer him as a backup though

This. I rarely agree with you but were on the same page here. I am very, very interested in seeing the direction the new staff takes, especially considering how painfully aware Lovie must be of how he lost his last job and Tedford's experience with QBs. If they roll with Glennon, it will be very telling, IMO.

Seriously?
I'd be pretty certain that Lovie Smith will never be able to figure out the QB position.
What part of my statement do you question if I'm being serious?
No lines in the sand here. I think Glennon has shown enough to garner serious consideration, but if Lovie and Co. decide to roll with someone else then so be it.
I would be fine with it as long as we spend a pick somewhere in the draft on QB. I'm really interested in QB Brett Smith but I think we would have to use our 2nd to get him. Competition is a good thing and developing two QBs is smart business.
I would be fine with it as long as they brought in actually competition for him. If he then wins the job so be it.

+1Nobody is abandoning ship. Lovie went to a SB with Rex Freaking Grossman. We'll be fine.....some of us are just sick of "fine" and would prefer we keep attempting to be great.
I doubt he rolls with glennon. There are just too many problems to work around, and it's much too tempting to sign a top qb from draft, trade, or fa. Lovie has a grace period right now, but it has to develop into something. Starting glennon and failing is nearly worse than drafting one and failing from a coaching perspective.Plus, tedford will want someone much quicker..I mean, he should be given a legit shot wither way..but in no way should glennon be our only option.
As much as I hate it, I think we bring in Josh McCown as "competition" and roll with Glennon. I don't like it, but there is no FA options and we are not in a spot at #7 to get Bridgewater, Bortles, or Manziel.
