It is fairly rare, but the Cowboys traded up for RB Tony Dorsett back in 1977. Bucs took Ricky Bell first and Dorsett went 2nd in that draft. They gave up a 1st and 3 second rounders in that draft straight up. Side note - the Cowboys also took a familiar name to Bucs fans in that draft; Steve Deberg, who did not make their roster...
