Bucs should strongly consider trading McCoy and drafting Donald. His cap number is not prudent and he's not going take a paycut in his new deal. The Bucs have absolutely no leverage.

Now you are just being stupid.

So you want to draft Donald in the first AND give McCoy close to a $100M contract?

What is going on with all these speculative questions lately? Can I play? What if we pass on Watkins and he catches 15 td's and has 1800 yards receiving?

Ok let's look at this and see if we can figure out together what I said and why.

And there is no way NOOO way that McCoy will hit free agency. I would be heartbroken.

What if McCoy went on IR again next year in week two and Donald was RoY with 12 sacks?

So youngone states there is no way McCoy hits free agency and he would be heartbroken. My hypothetical is clearly pointing out that if McCoy went on IR again, he very much could hit free agency....and if Donald stepped up and dominated because of McCoy being on IR, nobody would be heart broken. Was it really that hard to decipher my intent?

I wasn't just referring to you. A lot of the threads have been filled with "scenarios".

You're right. We need to create more cap room to bring back Freeman.

A top 10 pick on someone who would play on 3rd down or in case of emergency. Nope nope nope nope nope

What is with people's obsession with guys only being fit for one spot?  Or one way of playing?  It's like the people who say they don't want to draft/sign a specific SAM, because the Sam automatically always comes off the field on passing downs even if he is better at coverage than the Mike'He can play at THE SAME TIME as McCoy.    The two of them could perfectly well line up right next to each other.  Honestly, I'd LOVE to see that.  Lets see Brees step up into the pocket like he loves to do with the two of them pushing the middle into his grill.  Between him and McCoy in the middle and AC and Gholston on the edges we would have a hell of a front four.  (And yes, I think Gholston is going to take a leap forward).  But say we sign Allen or another edge rusher if you don't agree with Gholston.  That would be a nightmare for teams to deal with.

If Orakpo doesn't get franchised, I say go after him in Free agency, trade a 2015 conditional pick for Dion Jordan, and draft Aaron Donald at #7. Our pass rush would be ridiculous and once we do McCoy's new deal, everyone would be inked for the next 4 to 5 years. That sh!t would be awesome.

No to drafting a nose tackle 7th overall. If you want a guy who can play undertackle in a pinch sign Justin Tuck.

I just don't think you can pass on the other talent available for Donald unless you think he can rush from Defensive End. McCoy is too good, and it's too hard to get one and ones in the interior. That's why one guy is the nose tackle. You can't have 2 DT's shading Guards too often, you're going to get gashed even if the guys are beasts, and unless you have edge pressure guys are going to continue to leisurely step out of the pocket anyway (would you like some tuna with your roll out Collin Kapernick?) Mack will be gone, which sucks, but the Bucs have to invest in offense anyway. Draft Robinson or Matthews and stock up on speed later in the draft IMO. Now if neither of those guys are there, now that I think of that scenario better, I could see drafting Donald, especially if you address DE in Free Agency. If the Bucs were to trade down, I also like Austin Seffarin-Jenkins even more than Donald. I don't think their is another offensive player quite like him in the draft, and I like Watkins but all the speed later in this draft makes it tough to take him early. I'd have to really look at his ball skills again.
