It's not hard to figure out. Garcia throws for 150 and a TD while the defense gives up 7 points and forces 3 turnovers and he's the man. Freeman throws for 250 and 2 TDs and the defense gives up 27 points and he's a bastard and a cancer.

If you don't see Freeman as a cancer then you're very blind. Late to meetings, missing team photos, losing the captain vote, etc. etc. The guy didn't care about football. Freeman was on pace to throw 3,044 yards. That's a lot less than 2012 and even less than Glennon had he started 16 games. Based on yards per game which was 200 Glennon would of had 3,200 yards. Freeman had no hope and is a lost cause.
"The Tebow spin" line was pretty dumb. I see Kap, Wilson, Rodgers, Alex Smith and others make that same play pretty much weekly. It's a great move especially if the defensive end is out of control. Easy way to break contain and break down the defense.
These are my concerns about JFF. I just don't feel his game translates because he's too dependent on making something out of nothing. That's great when it happens, but in the NFL, you HAVE to be able to take a pro set Ace, I or Shotgun formation and get yardage. I don't know that JFF can do that consistently.
Such formations usually include the followingAce: A standard formation with 2 or 3 WRs outside and a RB lined up behind the QB who is under center. This formation often eschews a FB for a 3rd WR or a 2nd TE.I Formation: Another standard formation with 2 WRs on the outside and a RB lined up behind a FB and the QB who is under center. Tweaks including shifting the FB to the left or right side behind the Guard.Shotgun: One difference is that often the Shotgun is used as a 3 WR formation with a TE lined up inside to help block in pass protection. RBs can also line up next to the QB to help pick up blitzes.
I think JFF needs a team with an established QB who he can learn under. If the Patriots could take him and groom him under Brady for a few years, it would be different. If he comes here, I believe he can be great someday, but he'll need a lot of tutoring and a few years of seasoning.Link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pro-style_offense

Garcia's career did not begin with the Bucs. He was a good player for a long time.
Garcia and Freeman both quit on this organization to end seasons so I'm fine with both of them being gone.

Garcia is a step under simms and way ahead of freeman in that regard..

He wasn't here, yet he's a fan favorite.... because of great defense. While a real QB just got run out of town.

That's the past. For the purposes of this thread, people were comparing Johnny Manziel to Jeff Garcia. If Manziel is in fact Jeff Garcia, he'd be the good Jeff Garcia, not broken down 2008 Garcia.

Which real QB? Freeman?
What a bad scouting report. Manziel has really good footwork. He sets to throw the ball very quickly and when he feels that phantom pressure, a lot of times he will scramble around in the pocket, find space to work and then plant and fire the ball down field. He is no Glennon Cannon that is for sure. If you want to see a guy who cant plant and throw look no further.
