Seahawks expected to move on from Sidney RiceAccording to NFL.com's Ian Rapoport, the Seahawks are "likely" to release Sidney Rice. Rapsheet is just stating the obvious, as cutting Rice — who's recovering from a torn ACL — will be a no-brainer move for a team that needs to lock up Richard Sherman and Earl Thomas between now and next offseason. Releasing Rice would clear over $7 million in cap space. Grossly overpaid since the day he signed his five-year, $41 million contract in July 2011, Rice is due an untenable $8.5 million. "I probably shouldn’t even say this right now but I’m going to say it anyway just because I love Seattle, honestly," said Tate. "I would rather take a little less to be happy and win ballgames than to take way more and go to a crappy city where the fans don’t give a crap about the team." Tate does not suck but he is a decent number two receiver at best. Not worth the money he is probably going to want and plus like many here have said, he is kind of a d***** bag.
