We're going to miss out on the next Russell Wilson and having way more cap space thanks to hitching our wagon to Jaboo. I will root for him as long as he's a Buc but I will never settle for mediocrity and all the distractions. I'm going to always want better, if I see a potentially better long term option I am not going to shut it out simply because of what we've invested in Jameis. Sometimes you gotta bite the bullet and truly reload.
I get sticking with Jameis because of Arians. It makes sense, not a bad move by the organization hoping that Arians can fix this. But the cost is not being able to reload with a stud QB like Murray. That guy is going to be an awesome QB. His touch and accuracy blows Jaboo's out the water, its not even in the same universe. Not to mention having Murray on a cheap rookie deal compared to re-upping Jameis at around 25 million. Who knows the exact number, but it will be a lot and will effect how we fill out the rest of the roster going forward.
I'm hoping for the best for Jameis and the Bucs but I think the way we lined things up has a serious chance of blowing up in our faces. Arians cant really fix much in just one off season, which is what we desperately need and what many are expecting. The Bucs have a ton of holes, it's brutal when you really dissect it. Not enough picks and not enough cap space to fix even half of our issues.
For the record, I hope I end up dead wrong on all of this.
