Didn't know first quarter stats were so valuable when determining the overall performance of a QB. Also wasn't aware that a single half's stats were more weighty than an entire season/career.
Anyway, per NextGenStats, Mac finished the game with 39 passing attempts. 21 of which were within 5yds of the LoS, 3 INC and 1 INT. 10 attempts beyond 15yds, 4 INC and 1 INT. On passes 20+ yds, 1 completion out of 4 atts. Further, only 7 of his atts were targeted outside the numbers, resulting in 4 INC and 1 INT.
Per Baker Mayfield's NextGenStats W6 passing chart, Baker threw 23 attempts, 11 of which were at or longer than 10 yds. 5 INC no INT and 2 TDs, both of which were thrown farther than 20 yds, Beyond 10 yds, 6 outside the numbers, 2 INC on those 6 throws.
I'll let you guys decide which QB threw more deep passes with greater efficiency, regardless of what their Y/As were in the game.
Some props I like for tomorrow.
Like all year last year, Todd hasn't disappointed with some EASY wins so far this season.
I like:
- Mac Jones over 1.5 TD passes (+115) - 1.0u
- Can get him at 2+ for (+450)
- Mac Jones over 275+ yards passing (+165) - 1.0u
- Tempted to take him at 300+ yards passing (+325)
- Jake Tonges ATD + Over 3.5 receptions + Over 34.5 yards receiving
- I took this 3-legger last week for 1.5 units and hit big on it (though I may drop the yardage total for this one) - 0.5u
- CMC over 53.5 receiving yards (-115) - 1.5u
- This looks like a steal.
- Has hit the over on this number 4 of 5 games this season
Taking a longer look at the Bucs lineup.
I like all this but for whatever reason I think we see a rare Bowles gem with Mac not 100% and not mobile.
I like White anytime score. Like Sheppard over 2.5 receptions
@firebowles2023
Highlighted my bets from the prior post.
Here's my others:
- Shep over 2.5 receptions (-105) - 1.5u
- Baker over 25.0 rushing yards (+160) - 2.0u (got greedy here)
- White ATD (-150) - 2.0u
- Tez ATD (+260) - 1.0u
Then, for fun, running 2 parlays:
- Over 274.5 Baker
- Over 274.5 Jones
- Over 1.5 Passing TD's Baker
- Over 1.5 Passing TD's Jones
- CMac over 1.5 TD's
- Tez ATD
- Baker over 17.5 rushing yards
- +6000 at 0.5u
- CMAC ATD
- Tonges ATD
- Jones over 1.5 TD's
- Baker over 1.5 TD's
- Tonges over 3.5 receptions
- CMAC over 6.5 receptions
- +1300 at 0.5u
Happy Hunting and Go Bucs!
Damn I missed this somehow. Have to get a thread going for next week's games!

Cool story, bro. Now tell me what any of that do with the 40+ yard completion right out of the gate? That was a direct contradiction to these posts:
mac jones is strictly a dink and dunk passer.
he isn't going to throw over the top 40 yards downfield, ever. Stop looking at Y/A and watch the film.
If you don’t want to own it, so be it. But lolz @ “he isn't going to throw over the top 40 yards downfield, ever.”

You're right. Biggs is wrong. And a hypocrite given his Mayfield "wheeelhouse" craziness.
Biggs just wants a "fight" in the interweb sense of the word, so he doesn't care if he looks like a clown he'd rather fight you over "strictly."
If you don’t want to own it, so be it.
like you owned . . . Mayfield's Wheelhouse? White as RB1 "again and again and again?"

Lol, okay, you win. Mac Jones is a great deep ball passer. Best I've ever seen!!!
All actual evidence to the contrary, but whatever.

Meh. Not here to argue semantics. he wants to 'fight,' he can have at it. Not terribly interested in that sort of thing.

Hell yeah!
Let's fire up a weekly thread on it.
I'm down

When you’re getting faced, the strawman is usually the predictable route to take.
Or - “Yeah I had that wrong. Mac Jones doesn’t strictly dink and dunk, and does throw the ball down the field occasionally.”

Uh huh. "mac jones is the greatest deep ball passer in NFL history."
You can go back to your video games now, kid.
I'm down
I'll probably give it a few extra days with the fact we're playing Monday.
But, yeah, I'll start it up.
Uh huh. "mac jones is the greatest deep ball passer in NFL history."
Yeah, you’ve been thoroughly clapped.

Sure. Whatever that means. you "won" a conversation by being unnecessarily pedantic and obtuse, while completely failing to address the actual point(s). You're awesome at this. You should get paid to be obtuse, you're that good at it.
