the NFL is about stopping the pass and being able to throw the ball. Lovie has talked a lot about running the football but when there are play action opportunities or to take shots downfield you have to make it count. This is not really different from what Schiano wanted to do fundamentally. I kind of hope that Tedford runs a wide open offense but more than likely it will be a power game similar to what Schiano and Sullivan have done but with more variety of traps, sweeps, counters, draws, shove passes, etc.But what is strikingly clear is how the Bucs have addressed the positions involved in the passing game (or stopping it) thus far and with young talent to act as cornerstones, long term or short term:Pass rushing DEPass rushing DTPass blocking OT Zone/m2m CBPass catching TEMcCown is an exception but it is clear the Bucs are highly likely looking to draft a young QB signal caller.Free agent signings of a speedy WR, and coverage LB seems imminent as well as finding a nickle CB.
