Wow. Need to see the coaches film but from what I saw this was a terrible defense yesterday. Specifically, the pass defense. We played a lot of zone coverage where nobody bothers covering a receiver. We are leaving players unaccounted for and we are still having huge issues with recognition. Especially the LB's. The only time Hasselback wasnt picking is apart was when he was under pressure. Sorry, but this falls on coaching. Coaches are paid to get players to play good. I think the scheme was downright awful yesterday. We have a good secondary with bad schemes and we have the worst LBs in the entire NFL against the pass. Maybe dropping back 10 yards and reading the QBs eyes was good in the sandlot, but we need a competent scheme. This is the NFL. We are a joke defensively. I am not impressed with Lovie Smith at all. At all.
