Bills situation isn't exactly the same as the Buccaneers when you factor in the expectations.
Allen is the best QB in the league and they were expected to at least be in the Superbowl each of the past 4 years and didn't make it once.
Bucs were in a transition in 23'. 24' they had success but came up short and obviously this year was a disaster. Obviously Bowles should have been gone after this year but comparing the two situations is apples to oranges.
well said

Allen and Lamar have similar traits in that they tend to shit their pants in the post season.
Allen cost his town a shot at the Lombardi and now cost coach McDermott his job. He should have crying at the press conference.

Both teams are built to ask them to carry to victory. And they end up trying to do too much.

Shit their pants is a bit strong especially for Allen. Looking at this last playoff loss, yea he turned the ball over in the first half which led to points for Denver. He was incredible in the second half and had his team in position to win, defense and offensive skill players let them down.
Look at all of his playoff losses aside from his first appearance. We're really going to blame him for them? Stop it. Lamar is a different story.

Not sure there's that big a of delta in their playoffs performance. The storyline is very similar.
Both have below average or average defenses.
Both have below average weapons with a solid/good RB and a solid TE.
Both constantly try to do too much.
One offense airs it out and the other sticks with the run more.
I don't think it's the exact same scenario. Joe Brady deserves some criticism for having MVP QB and top rushing RB and still not being able to get it done.
I think what's important is the mentality. They fired their hc because he fell short of expectations (the super bowl) when this was a huge opportunity season to do it. Mahomes and the chiefs on a down season. Can't see that happening two times in a row. I mean would probably put money on them being in the super bowl this year. Gotta keep the trend going of new England and mahomes in the super bowl. Anyway off topic there. Off season for them. Clear path for the bills to get there. Missed it and he's gone. I mean I don't know if he should have been fired cause I don't watch them but I get the mentality. I do know they had the opportunity to get there this year because of the competition in the afc was not great. That could change next year and bills have a tougher road to get there. What's similar to us is we didn't see that we also had a situation where we had an opportunity to get there as well in my opinion and was greatly mishandled. Like we had a path too. Hindsight we all say 2020 but I think we knew the issues when and before things happened. Predictable is a word I've heard and I agree. For all many agree he should be gone too and our owners are something else not understanding that I can't explain it but we've had these discussions before about our ownership. At least they do the moves that like stare them the in the face to do. Gruden and Brady were kind of no brainers and I mean sure kudos to them for making the moves that result in super bowls and can should be super grateful for that but I think we understand this. Rumors or just speculation of them to Tampa was connecting dots that were easy to make. I'm just not sure how they didn't understand to get rid of this predictable coach. Unless he's switching things up we will see the same results and the dude has never changed. Seems like classic case of I'm not the problem it's the people around me. Eventually need to look in the mirror if it's the same over and over. I'm sure they are great friends of Bowles and company. They seem like great guys right. That means nothing in football. But maybe as friends you give them all the opportunity to succeed. But that means maybe you make some cost worthy moves to support this guy you've invested in and put so much of support for him despite fans not liking it. Or you're just basically not giving a shit about your football team. Bottom line. No reason for fans to support the team this year if it's more the same. Obvious stuff.
