A previous article argued that the Bobby Wagner deal sets the bar for Lavonte David. While he did get paid very very well and most of us would undoubtedly consider him a similar caliber player, we are looking at two different positions. Levy has been one of the best 4-3 OLB over the past couple years and had 151 tackles, 2.5 sacks and a pick last year. David of course is a bit younger and was essentially an elite player as a rookie. We also have more cap then Detroit so I do expect David to make more than Levy but I'd like to think it will be less than Wagner.
