I actually really like Derek Carr, I hope the Bucs trade back into the 1st round for him.

Backlash incoming- I think he is the 2nd best QB in this draft.  I would take him over Bortles or Manziel.  I would still prefer a tackle, but if we are gonna go QB and Teddy is gone Carr would be my 2nd choice.

It's funny some that bash him on here say things that are not true, he isn't more athletic or more mobile than Glennon? When he ran a faster 40 time than Manziel, and a pole taking at the combine 17 more  coaches favor him over Manziel, now we have our opinions but it says something when 17 more coaches like Carr over Manziel, I think the kid can be special the hate for him is just a joke if you ask me, he's proven before he can play in an NFL offense before his new coach came into town, i'm all for Carr if we can get him.

If he is there in the 2nd, I am fine with taking him.  I would not be happy spending #7 on a guy that looked lost against the mighty USC defense (sarcasm) this year with a month to prepare for them.

I agree that we should judge all prospects by their worst game.

Problem with a trade back scenario is how far do you go back? Every team in the league knows the connection Derek Carr has with the Bucs and Jeff Tedford. If Bortles, Bridgewater and Manziel are gone by #7 and the Bucs do trade back, there is no guarantee that Carr gets past Minnesota at #8. With that said, I'd still trade back and select McCarron, Garopolo or Mettenberger in the 2nd round if someone takes Carr ahead of whichever team we traded with.

God Lord. Have you even watch the guy play? Or are you just linking him to his brother?

A lot of his checkdowns went for TD's.  The 32nd ranked offense can use that yo....

Lots of balls fitted into tight windows, and a good amount of touch passes over defenders' heads. My main worry with him is the hitch in his throwing motion. It's small and it's not always there, but it is worrisome.

I wouldn't be surprised if four QB's went in the first round.

inaccuracy in the 10-20 yards passes worries me, and also the inflated numbers

Jimmy G at the top of the 2nd is a given if the Bucs don't take a QB with their first.
